They were there through my dads cancer and his passing and helped me find my footing when it was over & really pulled me out of the darkness i was in after losing my dad! Things just got distant and eventually we went our separate ways after years of being there for one another. Its taken so much out of me but i think if its meant to work it will and if not then thats just what it is. Not this song in particular but so many songs make me think of her and remind me of the memories. This song definitely connects to that fully lyrically, so its good to know im not alone on that! It takes a lot for a song to make me emotional but with Rory’s music, it takes no time. That first lead in to the pre-chorus pulled the tears right out of my eyes. You can feel the pain and all the emotion in his voice and it’s just absolutely incredible. Absolutely in love with this song.
