कालीघाट पट चित्रों की शुरुआत 19वीं शताब्दी में पश्चिम बंगाल में हुई कालीघाट मंदिर के आसपास रहने वाले पटवा कलाकार इन चित्रों के जनक रहे हैं और मुख्य रूप से हिंदू देवी देवताओं तथा अन्य पौराणिक ग्रंथों के नायक एवं चरित्रों का चित्रण इस शैली के अंतर्गत हुआ है । इसके अलावा अन्य सामाजिक विषय भी कालीघाट के चित्रकारों ने चित्रित किए महत्वपूर्ण आधुनिक चित्रकार यामिनी राय ने भी इस शैली से प्रेरणा ग्रहण की इस वीडियो में ललित कला के छात्र छात्राओं के निमित्त कालीघाट के पट चित्रों के समीक्षा प्रस्तुत कीी गई है।
