Yeah they are a little salty that is for sure. Good thing is that you most likely will only need a couple since most shops don't have much metal around them. I really like them for my doors. I also have one on my bandsaw to hang my blades. Thansk for watching Casual257!
If you can afford that bandsaw then you can afford the mobile stand that's actually engineered for the tool. You might be putting your very expensive tool, or even you at risk doing something else. When it comes to construction it's best to live the life of no regrets ;-) Thanks for the content, Flnndog. I always enjoy your videos.
Hey Bryan- I used those same casters on my Roubo workbench (about 350 pounds), but I connected two on each end together with a piece of square tubing so that two wheels engage the floor simultaneously to avoid single point loading one corner. It works great with one foot press, same to disengage. Safer too, and easier on the casters. Cheers
Love love love this idea! Thank you so much for sharing. I think I'm going to do that. Thank you so much for giving me the tip! :). Have a great week Michael!
Yeah, the drill bit is an 1/8 inch I believe. I'd like to get something a little smaller in the future. I do think they offer different sizes though. Great catch James!
I saw those as well, and time will tell with the stand. I did double laminate 2 pieces of 3/4 inch plywood, so it has 1.5 inches of support. The sides are attached with the screws and titebond which I believe titebond has a strengh level above 3,700lbs per square inch. But none of that matters if it doesn't hold up! :)
First of all, I'm jealous! second of all, damn. that thing is a beast! Thanks so much for watching. I'd definitely want to put that drill press on something metal if at all possible!
Just an add on for those casters, you can get detachable mounting plates , i leave those on permanently once resting on the floor. but have 2 sets of heavy load casters when i need to move things. mainly because i dont like the wheels just hanging out in the open.
Great idea! I think that might be an even better option. I might check those out in the future. Maybe for that drill press. Thanks so much for watchign Mmalficia!

Where did you get your roll-up door insulation? I am in the process of insulating my steel barn, and would love to add to the 3 large roll-up doors too, they are about 20% of the wall area!
Great question. When I had them installed they came pre-insulated. I'll have to ask my contractor where he got them. I know they were made by a company here in indiana. I'll have to do some research.
@@FlynndoggWoodwork you certainly don't have to waste any time on research, I thought you added it yourself so might know right away. I will give a look on the Googles and Amazon. Thanks!
Be careful adding that much weight to your doors; the torque to the hardware when they are in motion and the friction that happens inside the hinge wears it down really fast. If you have ever been in a house with disabled people that bear a lot of weight down on door handles, you should inspect the hinges and the reveal around the door; usually the top and bottom hinges are worn a little funny from pressure always hitting them in one direction
Could you be a little more scientific with your testing? As an example, tell us the weight of the items that you are hanging from the magnetic hooks...
You do a great job advertising, but I'm afraid you might want to re brand your channel. I haven't seen any actual woodworking for as long as I can recall. I get it. You need to get that money, but maybe call yourself a woodworking product review channel instead.

Another great video but the Gator magnets are all "unavailable" on Amazon (4/20/24). Hope they restock soon because that would be a great storage solution for my setup.
Attach a bar between each pair of the casters. You can raise or lower one side at a time and you won't get the wiggle wobble by doing 1 at a time. I did that after about a week of attaching casters on my assembly table.
@FlynndoggWoodwork darn yard work is cutting into my shop time. Maybe Burt can come over and help me. I did take time to fix a maple end table this week for an elderly neighbor lady.
