Hence why it doesn’t show who she is dragging until after the conversation between the two and also Sarah saying “I hope you made the right choice” and then walking away. @geoswan4984 Not to be depressing but you would be surprised at the amount of missing people, especially women whose disappearances don’t get investigated. They are assumed to have moved or honestly are not seen as “important “ enough. In trafficking circles this is fairly common.

Running an Island like that? It must have required at least dozens of staff of dozens. How much of the creepy shenanigans were they aware of? Did that maid know the girls memories were being wiped? Did she know the snake venom would restore Frida's memory? What happened to her?
I’m assuming all the staff know based on how they were acting. But were too afraid to directly stand up to them, because they’d just shoot them. The old lady def knew, that’s why she was urging them to use the snake venom. I do wish they showed more of the old lady, and what happened to her and the staff at the end. Or maybe had the old lady help them fight the men at the end
Yes the old lady knew about the snake venom, that’s why she gave it to Frida. I’m assuming she believed that Frida would be able to do something if she knew the truth of what was happening to them at night.

Thank you for this detailed explanation, I just came back from the movie and was happy to find your video! Spoilers ahead. I too went into this movie a bit skeptical and knowing exactly how the movie was going to end (with our protagonist at the top, of course!) but the way the movie chose to lead us there impressed me so much, with so many twists and turns that got me genuinely hooked when I thought the surprises were done. Even in terms of artistic/visual choices, the fact that some moments were so cinematic, slo mo, stylish, almost instagramable, juxtaposed with so many cruel, realistic raw moments when it came to the killings...there were so many shocking moments, also funny ones that made me laugh, but one unexpected scene genuinely made me cover my mouth and tears run down my face, and it wasn't even explicit (the one where our main villain casually and slowly kills a girl by stepping one foot on her neck, and we never see it but we hear it slightly in an otherwise silent moment). I live in Germany and when I watched it at the movies, there was no trigger warning (or maybe there was and I just didn't catch it?), so I really couldn't see any of these events coming. I'm happy I gave this movie a shot and watched it at the cinema, it allowed me to get fully into the experience.
It speak to how ppl view celebrities regular ppl believed that we know these celebrities we don't but we so willing to believe they are good ppl. Look at diddy parties
the ending scene kinda ruined the original intended message of the story lol i think they should not have added that final scene. the final 2 could've been shown writing a book about their experience or making money from there. like the scene sort of turned a victim into an abuser...
she was thirsty for clout she got her friend killed even after her getting bit she wanted to stay bc she finally felt accepted so the ending followed what she would’ve done anything to be praised and in the spotlight u see the other survivor wasn’t there she wanted no parts of that life but frida did
@@lavishmisfittink3214 ok that's actually a good perspective. then the message is really the cycle of abuse keeps going on i mean if youthink about it those ragto riches stories...they forgot about the little people once theyre on top.
That is literally not the same kind of “abuse”. You cannot compare manipulation to R*PE. Frida is not an abuser, but she turned her abusive situation around. No she cannot forgive Slater for what he did to her and the other women, but she instead used him to get the life she’s always wanted: money, fame, and power. Slater is no victim, especially since his whole mantra was it’s better to forget. So she used his tactics on him and makes him forget everything while she’s now pulling the strings. But at least no one is getting assaulted anymore.
My thing is was Sarah left in the house or did she escape with Frida? Did Sarah survive or did she died in the burning house when Frida said “she knew she forgot something.” Concerning the lighter ? Idk that’s why I been watching all these explaining video n nobody saying anything about that👀👀
I enjoyed watching this movie, actually I loved it, it's different, great directing, excellent photography, a surprising and sharp twist, and more realistic
Yeah, I can understand why the trigger warning was there, but I know that I'm not a person with a life that usually warrants them, so I simply closed my eyes and didn't read it. It's the only way imo to make sure that the people who need it, read it, and if you don't, well just close your eyes...I knew that if I read it, I'd be spoiled for the movie, so I just didn't. That said, I LOVED this movie. I actually think this may be my favorite film this year. Slater's speech was chilling, and really spoke to the futility of cancel culture and scripted apologies. Wow, I'm still creeped out just thinking about his performance in this film.
Exactly, it’s necessary for some of us but if it’s not necessary for you personally, just don’t read it. It’s that simple. Even tho it was triggering, I really enjoyed this movie. I think Zoe did an incredible job and has a lot to say. Blink Twice was well written and important while maintaining humor throughout a traumatic movie (that’s immensely difficult to pull off). I also think this is prob one of Channing Tatum’s best performances.
All of the elite islands and underground sanctuaries. Diddlers 2 homes in Fla right across from the ports. Global human trafficking with multiple players and enablers.
AMAZING. The psychology behind this film is on point and heartbreaking. Trauma was done right. So many Easter egg that foretells the unfortunate truth. And what makes this a mindfck… Epstein case makes this film a nightmare to those who experienced SA
I feel like the workers were indigenous to that island Like slater bought the island gave the few ppl living there jobs but the servants help the victims in their own way trying to warn them because they don't want that debauchery going on
Spoiler alert: the transition to the last scene didn’t make sense. Felt like there was a missing piece. Ideally, I wanted Channing’s character to pretend nothing happened and prepare a speech for the guests. While preparing I’d have her interrupt him and throw all the Polaroid pictures to all the guests, therefore exposing him and finally leading to his arrest.
The Polaroids were all burned in the fire, so she doesn't have any concrete evidence of what he did to her and the others. That's probably part of the reason she keeps him docile, so that she gets to punish him by taking his free will.
it's just a "feel good yass queen" moment. which to me cheapen the entire message. cause she gets her money by using the weapon against slater. they should've ended at least with both of the women writing a book and exposing them. maybe that is deemed boring
@@lavishmisfittink3214 yeah so the abused became the abuser. it felt like the entire message of this movie is about fighting back against institutional power that kept benefiting from exploiting the powerless...
She could have just let him die in the fire. 🔥 But the thing is, she didn’t want to just let him get what he deserved. She wanted to take advantage of him as well. In a way, she became the abuser in her quest for revenge.

I agree that the pacing was a bit off. Overall, I thought it was a decent movie. Frida annoyed me a bit with the way she was acting, so I would probably like the movie better if I liked her character more. Although, I did enjoy the realization that it was a STUPID decision to go to a rich guys island on a whim without knowing anyone. Very weird and creepy visuals and motifs that Zoe used for whats basically Epstein Island: The Movie. I think she definitely has an eye for this genre. However, the ending was a bit confusingly ambiguous to me. While she had Rich apprehended, I really couldnt tell if the smile at the end was the fact that she's finally in the spotlight where she's no longer "invisible" like how she was desperately craving for earlier or that she was gonna start blowing the whistle on everything. Also, what happened with Sarah? We dont get an epilogue for her? I also thought Slater saying "imagine what humans could do if they were able to let go of that trauma and forget" was a really interesting statement that I would have liked to see expanded upon, but that type of motivation/plot doesnt work with a human trafficking movie. I think it woulda worked better with a cult movie.
Zoe really did a great job, great vision, but the ending was not realistic joining the same group of men that tormented her and poisoned her and killed Jess her friend, without seeking any justice for her and why didn’t the director at least get a camera shot of Sarah so the audience knows she’s ok, they really didn’t show the cops taking Richard into custody.
I find the release date disturbing as it’s closely related to the P Diddy allegations. It’s almost like they were anticipating. I think the ending shows the victim becoming the abuser. Nonetheless, it was a good movie.
The acting was great but ending was unsatisfying for me The climax was so awesome though without giving it away I was just disappointed there was no real justice for the sa- ers Definitely would rewatch
Lol U missed the point I saw last night it was her getting her own back by making him forget and posing as his wife and became CEO and got the power I didn't like it think it destroyed what the movie was trying to say about abuse and power and what I didn't like is it seemed to me she was justified in doing it because she a woman
I agree with you, and you didn't miss the point. In a way, even though she got her way with him, she still held on to him when she could've let him go, which is Stockholm syndrome because she has trauma and is codependency
I agreed with this, and Channing saying “You’re like my best friend” probably hit off the right neurons in her brain as well causing her to make that decision
I'm mad frida didn't listen to her friend That's what made me mad most being an empath. I'd have kept pretending then formulate my same plan with Jess and get everyone on board.
Same. It’s scary being the one and only one that can see the dangers going on around you and everybody else is oblivious. Just realize that Freda really wasn’t Jess’s friend at all. Fridas friend, was wealth. She put her entire being on the line to attain that friend.
I think its about people with power and people without power. Power is in the influence. It doesn't mean anything without having people who don't have anything. But the part that is missing is that Slater called Frida his best friend. Almost like they play this game together. Also, when she told the therapist to blink if she was in danger was telling as well.

This movie is about Diddy’s White parties and all those Hollywood perverts’ parties. I thought it when I watched it and as more revelations come out, I am convinced.
I didn’t really like the ending, the rest was captivating but the ending had more to be desired. It leaves to many plot holes, the friend i was with also made a joke about the ending of the film saying “the only way for women to escape oppression was to steal hard earned wealth from men and put the chains of oppression on them instead of breaking them altogether”. I also dont get how she would be able to get the Whole company from without hired without layers or close friends or and insane amount of media coverage about this random person with now connection to billionaire taking all their wealth and success. Also what happened to the survivor women, did she go back to a normal life and they don’t interact at all together because she wasn’t at the finale party scene either. Along with that, what happened to Jess’s family. Do they not ask Frida any questions about where her BEST FRIEND has vanished to? Along with all the other girls who also dont have their families ask questions about where they have vanished to and if not their families then what about their employers. In the end Slater King is kept in equivalent purgatory with his memory constantly being wiped to keep him in check which is definitely a fate worse than death.

Asking Frida what happened to her best friend after they went away together for who knows how long, Frida comes back and marries the dude they went with, and Jess is gone forever? Like? The police wouldn’t investigate the private island or King, or Frida, or anyone at all?

@@geoswan4984 I was thinking That Frida actually left Sarah to die in the fire but saved Channing Tatum. Hence why it doesn’t show who she is dragging until after the conversation between the two and also Sarah saying “I hope you made the right choice” and then walking away. I think it was in Frida’s head
@geoswan4984 Not to be depressing but you would be surprised at the amount of missing people, especially women whose disappearances don’t get investigated. They are assumed to have moved or honestly are not seen as “important “ enough. In trafficking circles this is fairly common.
i honestly think she felt grateful to freda for achieving survival and escape together, but that she wanted to wash her hands of her when Freda reveals her plan to let Slater live and ultimately end up with him. I think Sarah couldn’t forgive and wouldn’t forget. Probably thought Freda was weird for that just like I did lol
I think its about people with power and people without power. Power is in the influence. It doesn't mean anything without having people who don't have anything. Basically, excessive wealth vs. lack is the theme of the world that leads to the strange contrast and how both are drawn to each other to take something from each other but the one with power almost always wins.
It was slow then turned suspenseful in the last 30-40 minutes.
I wish there was some confirmation when Frida left on how long she was there for
from the comments here, it's 2nd time. first time it was successful and she didnt remember. so they brought her back again. i didnt catch that when watching. ithought it was the first time
@@endor8witch ye that was a 3rd act reveal when she was looking at the pictures

@@jjsstikbotvideos4421He told her she could leave when she wants to amd it's not like she would remember anyway.

This movie was wild. I can't wait for another Zoe movie.
Faaaaaaaaaat Bluuuuuuuuunt!
the messed up part for me is that they are fully aware that they are being raped and terrorized as it's happening. Then the next day it never happened. The flashbacks really fucked me up
Thank you for this detailed explanation, I just came back from the movie and was happy to find your video!
Anyone else here after the Diddy arrest 😂😂😂
It speak to how ppl view celebrities regular ppl believed that we know these celebrities we don't but we so willing to believe they are good ppl. Look at diddy parties
Some of the most disturbing Diddy Party meets Get Out sh!t I've ever seen... 🥺... WHY DID I LOVE IT???
yup women are waking up
the ending scene kinda ruined the original intended message of the story lol i think they should not have added that final scene. the final 2 could've been shown writing a book about their experience or making money from there. like the scene sort of turned a victim into an abuser...
she was thirsty for clout she got her friend killed even after her getting bit she wanted to stay bc she finally felt accepted so the ending followed what she would’ve done anything to be praised and in the spotlight u see the other survivor wasn’t there she wanted no parts of that life but frida did
@@lavishmisfittink3214 ok that's actually a good perspective. then the message is really the cycle of abuse keeps going on i mean if youthink about it those ragto riches stories...they forgot about the little people once theyre on top.
@@endor8witch bingo
That is literally not the same kind of “abuse”. You cannot compare manipulation to R*PE. Frida is not an abuser, but she turned her abusive situation around. No she cannot forgive Slater for what he did to her and the other women, but she instead used him to get the life she’s always wanted: money, fame, and power. Slater is no victim, especially since his whole mantra was it’s better to forget. So she used his tactics on him and makes him forget everything while she’s now pulling the strings. But at least no one is getting assaulted anymore.
@@eb4052 it's still abuse. it's also slavery. anything without consent will result in abuse.
Finally! Review video that actually talks about the story 😅😂
They might have got inspiration from epstein island
All of the elite islands and underground sanctuaries. Diddlers 2 homes in Fla right across from the ports. Global human trafficking with multiple players and enablers.
Did they explain how Frida got off the island 🏝 the first time as Red Rabbit?!? I don't remember an explanation... did I miss it? 😮🎉
Remember the perfume worked so good that she didn’t remember even being on the island the first time. So they let her go.
@@curlyhaircarejourney I didn't catch that for whatever reason. Thanks!

This movie was so good i loved it!
AMAZING. The psychology behind this film is on point and heartbreaking. Trauma was done right. So many Easter egg that foretells the unfortunate truth. And what makes this a mindfck… Epstein case makes this film a nightmare to those who experienced SA
I feel like the workers were indigenous to that island
Like slater bought the island gave the few ppl living there jobs but the servants help the victims in their own way trying to warn them because they don't want that debauchery going on
Spoiler alert: the transition to the last scene didn’t make sense.
That's probably part of the reason she keeps him docile, so that she gets to punish him by taking his free will.
it's just a "feel good yass queen" moment. which to me cheapen the entire message. cause she gets her money by using the weapon against slater. they should've ended at least with both of the women writing a book and exposing them. maybe that is deemed boring
she wanted that life her character did exactly what she would’ve done she survived and still wanted to fit in and benefit
@@lavishmisfittink3214 yeah so the abused became the abuser. it felt like the entire message of this movie is about fighting back against institutional power that kept benefiting from exploiting the powerless...
She could have just let him die in the fire. 🔥
But the thing is, she didn’t want to just let him get what he deserved.
She wanted to take advantage of him as well.
In a way, she became the abuser in her quest for revenge.
I really thought at end the it was some type of sci-fi, cult ritual thing would happen but the movie really kept me guessing...I like that!

What a great debut and first hit movie. Really impressive. A documentary?
You are funny.
Epic ending!
So good
I agree that the pacing was a bit off.
Good thing no one asked you for your opinion on the movie
@@Hiatusflowerchild then why are you here? no one asked for your opinion either.
How come they forget Jess but remember each other??
Great question.
The acting was great but ending was unsatisfying for me
The climax was so awesome though without giving it away
I was just disappointed there was no real justice for the sa- ers
Definitely would rewatch
After what happened, all of those people who worked on the island are now out of jobs.
The movie kind of implied that Freida has taken over the island and is either the current abuser or she's baiting in predators.
It seems as though the one maid was happy about the burning down of the house.
Maybe the ending was commentary on Stockholm Syndrome! 🤔 And people who find themselves in love and attached to their abuser.

That's what made me mad most being an empath.
What happened Sarah at the ending of the movie? Did sarah survive?
She did. But I guess she didn’t want any part of what Freda was doing. So she kinda just washed her hands from the situation.
Was Zoe trying to make this like 'Get Out', but instead of anti-white, it is anti-men or anti-rich people? Sort of an Epstein Island allegory?
it's really about people in power getting away with abusing those in lower rung in society
I think its about people with power and people without power. Power is in the influence. It doesn't mean anything without having people who don't have anything. Basically, excessive wealth vs. lack is the theme of the world that leads to the strange contrast and how both are drawn to each other to take something from each other but the one with power almost always wins.
