This group should be hailed as champions! The performance made me curious with the culture and history of cotabato. This made me put their place in my next travel itenerary :)

well this the performances na dpat mapanuod ng marami nagpapakita ng kultura ng bawat rehiyon sa pilipinas... base on their showcase sila nga dapat ang nasa list of top 2 baket dahil naipakita nila ang kulturang dapt ipahayag sa aliwan... hndi yung mananalo ka lang bdhil sa props dapat may package... evry year kc andaming representatives galing ng mindanao at halos pare-pareho lang talaga.. sana next year may panibagong pasabog o bomba naman kayong papakita sa aliwan viewers... keep it up!

Hello po hindi po ito T'nalak festival. T'nalak festival po is attributed to a popular piece of colorful cloth woven by the local T'boli women (T'boli is a tribe in the region). I'm from South Cotabato po and witnessed for how many times the t'nalak festival .Muslim attire po ang kasuotan ng mg dancers, definitely its another festival in South Cotabato region but not T'nalak. And in my own interpretation this dance shows different usage of their malong if I am not mistaken and culture as well. Thank you

May tatlo kasing category ang T'nalak festival pagdating sa street dance competition nila and this team won on Kadsagayan category which is purely Muslim dances ang pinapakita. So since sila ang champion that time, T'nalak festival pa rin ni-represent nila :)
Hello. Yes po may point po kayo. 😊 T'nalak is a woven cloth weaved by the T'boli women. Kaya T'nalak Festival is the Festival of South Cotabato province kasi dito tayo kilala. Sabi nga po ni sir Vincent, merong 3 categories po ang streetdancing ng T'nalak. Madal Belan for Lumads, Kadsagayan Alalan for Moro, and Kasadyahan sa Kapatagan for Christians (correct me if I'm wrong po). TRI-PEOPLE po kasi nasa South Cot. And this piece po na pinakita nila is just 1 category lng po sa T'nalak Streetdancing po. 😊

Ruth Calayon yes right this is one of the 3 tribes. This is a competition and they have to be competitive. Though the other tribe (madal b'lan?) can showcase an authentic T'nalak from costumes to dances to music/instruments but it cannot win against the liveliness/festivity of others like sinulog, dinagyang to name a few. But their performance was spectacular. Very colourful and they made a muslim dance interesting and lively.

Queen Aurora Hi! It’s not imperative naman to use the cloth in the presentation. The problem is- once we say T’nalak Festival, it automatically translates to the fabric itself, which is not. What T’nalak Festival is emphasizing, the diversity of culture in the province. I mean, I think it’s okay to represent the Moro Community of our province in a national level Festival.

Marami pong actually props at dancers. 100+ dancers po yan lahat..nagbawas po kasi kulang Naman Ang budget at hindi naman makakasama lahat Ng dancers. Sayang nga po mas maganda Sana yan pag nadala lahat Ng dancers at props. Hehe
