    Hey guys,
While I recommend that people watch the new version of this video and not the old one, there's one good reason why you should check out the old version also:
In the new version, I calibrated the microscope for 10X and 60X objectives.
In the old version, I calibrated for the 10X and *40X* objectives.
So if you want some extra practice, I recommend you try and figure out the 40X calculations on your own and then check out the old version of the video.
Thank you all for your very kind comments,
I'm happy most of you have found this tutorial helpful.

why can't we have educators like this in our educational system?amazing!

    • @ByronClips
      @ByronClips  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Because the education system is not about helping learners.
It's about getting approved for payments from the government.
They have no need for people like me.

It was not just informing but also relaxing to watch his video. I loved how the simple the video was but at the same time teaching all of the essentials without making it seem too complicated. Also, props to the wonderful music at the beginning and end of the video.

Most "teachers" need to learn how to teach! Not the material they have to get into student's minds, but HOW to get it from Instructor to student's brain. Schools never seem to evaluate teaching skills only material knowledge, Such a waste of talent.

Question: once I've found the value of an ocular unit at one magnification, can't I calculate its value at other magnifications rather than recalibration? For example, if I know the value of one ocular unit at 40x magnification, couldn't I divide that by 4 to get its value at 10x?

Okay but why do we need to do this? Is it because the eye piece loses accuracy the more its used?
Also it would’ve been much more helpful if you showed the conversion math.

It was helpful video for me, but there still some questions:
    1. In another video about this topic, she calculated 1ou = 96micron (with 40x objective). In this video 99micron. So are eyepiece graticules not standard.
    2. If 1ou is 96 micron, can I use the same measure anytime for any objects with any microscope (with 40x objective)?
Thanks. If answer this question, I will be completely informed.

This is all great if you have a eye piece with built in calibration. I only have the slide for the stage. I am trying to figure out how to calibrate the camera to the slide. It appears that the camera from Am scope is about 20x to begin with. So, wouldn't that make the 10x actually 200x? Can't seem to get a straight answer from the sources I have tried to ask.
