My dad was killed in a car accident on Sept. 30, 1982 when I was 10 years old. This song was sang at his funeral and i have loved it ever since. This is a beautiful version of it.

Only Jesus and his love for us can remove our pain and sorrow from the loss of our love ones. Jesus reasures us that we will see them again n Heaven. Thank You Jesus for your love for us!

I lost my dad in 1998, I Turned away from god,One cold winter day I found my moms " sunday school music books I, went thru It and Starting Singing sunday school songs, This 1 was on the Next page, I started singing it" I fell on the living room floor Sobbing Like 2yr old baby As I sang it, I felt the power and love of jesus christ Run thru me, I prayed for myself and the hatred I Had in myself, and anger towards God! I got up on my knees and read the 'sinners Prayer" and Felt so much Releaved,t I felt the hand of god touch me On that cold February night in wisconsin.. Praise jesus for coming back into my life!!

Four years ago I was so deep in Depression that I seriously thought my family would be better off if I were dead, but these Gaither songs, and this one in particular, gave me just a glimmer of hope that it would pass. It took some time before it did pass, but I do know that the Creator of the Universe held my hand hand in His as he walked me out of the shadow of the Valley of Death.
I can relate to that my wife passed away felt the same way this song lift my spirits
