I would personally reccomend the xxh, as it loads very well with a decent sized bait and an 8oz sinker, and has more than enough back bone to tame a big fish. The xxxh is over kill in my opinion, but some guys like the heavier, stiffer rods with 80lb+. You also have to have alot of power to throw the xxxh.

I throw a whole yellow tail and a 7oz on my xh, so yes. It most definitely can. It is easier to throw a bait of that size on the xxh

Howsit Keegan, what could cause the dangle to sometimes not release?

Sometimes you don't leave enough space between the opening and your sinker, and therefore the bait pushes against the sinker upon landing not allowing the bait to push down ever so slightly and unclip. Another cause could be wind causing tension when growing in high winds.
Just shake the rod a few times fast and short once the sinker settles to ensure it unclips

Roughly between 130 and 150m id say
