I just wanted to say that you inspire me so greatly. You are two young parents who gave life to a beautiful girl and you gave your all to make her short life wonderful. Although you are Kyle are young and often exhausted we never hear a complaint out of you. Never a why me. Your children always come first. You enjoy being her parents and Damien’s parents and she was so blessed to have you. Watching you makes me realize that I can weather the storms ahead and and do it with a positive attitude. In Houston we don’t block intersections. Pretty much everyone knows to stop at the light, regardless of the color, and wait for enough space to fit your car without blocking anyone if the light turns red. Moved here from a very small town, and very quickly realized that 3 million people can’t all drive at once. It’s the worst. And nothing is pedestrian friendly. Enjoyed the vlog, as always. ❤️

You're like me I plan everything that I can and one day if I'm going to be out in that area. I had 31 appointments and 30 days as a single mom I had two children one was basically on life support and he is the one that we were taken care of and I had a less than one year old running around the house I kid you not.
I used to be on the first feeding tube you held up last year exactly the same one. A G/J stomach tube. One side drains, the middle part feeds, The other side is what holds the balloon of tube in. I remember this so well. I have never had any problems with it. But last November when my stomach started kicking into gear & working again, The tube came out by itself & I no longer have it anymore. My gastro doctor checked the opening where the tube was and they said it was fine. She offered to replace it, I said no. Told her I can digest food on my own now. Just wanted to share my story. ☺️

My one sister is not mentally her age and will never really be able to live on her own. For own safety and to help with her hormones she's on this one meds that will eventually stop her period and prevent her from having kids.
I have had Mirana for a year this month, my doctor told me it was the BEST option for women 35 and over (I turned 35 last August) She said copper IUD's were horrible and that since I have full drug coverage (I'm in Ontario too) to get the Mirana.. I have never been happy with it.. I have felt slightly ill since the day it was put in.. Of the possible side effects I still experience pelvic pain, back pain, swelling in my feet and ankles, headaches and it has really taken a toll on my bipolar disorder by causing worsening depression.. I am getting it removed very soon as it is clear this is not going to end and 4 more years of this is no good! I since am hearing this a lot from other women as well who have gotten this IUD and Tiffany I STILL HAVE MY PEROID every month like clockwork too!! 😑🤣 Mirena does NOT stop every women's peroid.. I have heard a lot of success with the BC pill taken 365 instead of 7 days off monthly and that the shot is also pretty good for stopping your cycle.. Luv ya guys 💗

They may not really have an option for the merena because of her various conditions and the medications that she needs to control things. The surgical options will only be a last resort. Epileptics can’t take birth control pills.

When i had a G/J stomach tube put in last may 2018, I was awake for that procedure. They numbed the area & I didn't feel a thing. But when I had a N/J tube put in BEFORE the other one, It hurt very badly when they were pushing it in through my sinus and esophagus. That one was so annoying because it would rub around in the back of my tongue and throat when drinking. That's when I switched to the GJ stomach tube. Gladly i recovered & am doing fine now and don't need it anymore.
I'm a little bit upset! I hope the new medication wasn't always an option, simply because the gum growth could've been avoided if that's the case. I hate the thought of it causing her even the slightest discomfort. But I trust that you being her mother would know that. Basically, I hope the medication that caused it was needed so this doesn't end up being something that was avoidable. I'll be very upset if she could have always been on the new meds and never had to experience any of the uncomfortable side effects. Anyways as long as she's happy, healthy and comfortable that's all that matters ❤️

Maybe the new med has another different side effect that would affect her significantly as well and was more common than the one.she unfortunately got and that was already weighed as an option. The meds are for seizures, so side effects of some sort are often unavoidable with these meds. As a.mom too, I'm sure it's not an easy spot to be in, nor is it as cut and dry as you say, or that we'd hope, but also many people like you, don't know the reality behind the issue...so I'm just trying to help in understanding...
Yeah controlling epilepsy can be tough, so the cocktail of epilepsy meds can be tough to get right. And each one has different side effects. The gums don't look fun for Makayla :(

I did wonder what would happen if she experienced pain, but I know a lot of people who didn’t experience any pain at all. I’m sure her doctors and Tiffany/Kyle will be able to decide exactly what’s best for her. There is risks with every type of birth control, but they are rare. :)
And IUD for little Makayla? That doesn’t sound right. I’m an US tech and man do those cause nothing but issues for women! From perforation to irregular bleeding to severe pain. I see nothing but issues in her future if you go with an IUD 😳. Not to mention the insertion would be terribly painful for a virginal patient, or any patient for that matter.
I keep talking to women who have them and love them, and hearing stories about how well they work and how they make periods easier for a lot of women. I guess it must depend on the specific kind. (And I'm sure for a patient like Makayla they would insert it under some kind of anaesthetic).
Everyone I know loves their IUD. Of course she would be asleep for it. And I think being on life support was a much more invasive procedure. Periods are hell and there is no reason baby girl should suffer.

Probably because insurance.will only pay for the crappier one and they consider the better tube not a necessity and therefore out of pocket. Insurance is cheap.like that. I bet the other tube costs more or they have a contract with the supplier of the covered tube.
To get the kids to work day for a good idea to get the kids to bed early last year and it was on the way home from work tomorrow at my house in my name and number of my life is not
@@Manderz89 Well, speech therapy isn't just for talking. My grandson had 9 hours of open heart surgery when he was 6 days old. He had a stroke during surgery. Because of that, he lost the instinct to suck. Speech therapy worked with him daily to get him to get back his sucking so he didn't have to have tube feedings long term. The speech therapy worked. He's 12 now and has had 2 more open heart surgeries. 3rd one was just last month. He will need them throughout his life. So don't go judging people before you can prove your point. Speech therapy was vital for him. I'm an RN and understand a lot of this but still, don't run your mouth unless you know what you're talking about.

Can you not spread the appointments out over 2 days? Maybe two appointments a day?... As a special needs parent myself all therapist/professionals advise not sitting in the same position for more 3 hours max. It looked to me she was seated for around 12 hours! 😦 it's far to much. I prefer appointments together but 3-4 is my cut off point... Please re consider in the future. I know what I'm talking about trust me. x

I keep talking to women who have them and love them, and hearing stories about how well they work and how they make periods easier for a lot of women. I guess it must depend on the specific kind. (And I'm sure for a patient like Makayla they would insert it under some kind of anaesthetic).
Everyone I know loves their IUD. Of course she would be asleep for it. And I think being on life support was a much more invasive procedure. Periods are hell and there is no reason baby girl should suffer.

Probably because insurance.will only pay for the crappier one and they consider the better tube not a necessity and therefore out of pocket. Insurance is cheap.like that. I bet the other tube costs more or they have a contract with the supplier of the covered tube.
Its probably covered however in Ontario Canada alot of the times you have to pay first and submit the receipt. They then reimburse you.

@@Manderz89 Well, speech therapy isn't just for talking. My grandson had 9 hours of open heart surgery when he was 6 days old. He had a stroke during surgery. Because of that, he lost the instinct to suck. Speech therapy worked with him daily to get him to get back his sucking so he didn't have to have tube feedings long term. The speech therapy worked. He's 12 now and has had 2 more open heart surgeries. 3rd one was just last month. He will need them throughout his life. So don't go judging people before you can prove your point. Speech therapy was vital for him. I'm an RN and understand a lot of this but still, don't run your mouth unless you know what you're talking about.

Can you not spread the appointments out over 2 days? Maybe two appointments a day?... As a special needs parent myself all therapist/professionals advise not sitting in the same position for more 3 hours max. It looked to me she was seated for around 12 hours! 😦 it's far to much. I prefer appointments together but 3-4 is my cut off point... Please re consider in the future. I know what I'm talking about trust me. x
