    OK when you say freshwater? Do you mean tapwater? I am super sensitive to chlorine and if I cook my crab and tapwater, it taste like chlorine to me. I prefer Baywater hands-down, and if I have to use tapwater, I will add salt to try to wash out some of the chlorine aftertaste

      Thanks for your comment Barbie Oregon, I have had tapwater that is pretty nasty. I must admit where I live. We have pristine tapwater probably as good as any bottled water. I’m lucky I guess. Again, I recommend you steam the CRAB so if used bottled water, it wouldn’t cost too much and you wouldn’t have that terrible chlorine taste. Good luck.
