    There are many similarities between this and Cushing’s disease and syndrome

    I read somewhere that is not recommended to do a biopsy on this type of tumor ?

    I guess the big factor is whether or not it is benign, or malignant, which can only be determined with a biopsy...

      That’s exactly what I thought when they told me mine was benign and I was like I think you could only know that thru a boop ur apparently the urine tests they do can tell them wether the proteins and other stuff is there that would flag as being cancerous.

      I'm not sure yet if I have one, but I got my hormones checked because I noticed an odd amount of hair growth on my chin and found that my testosterone was high. I was sent to an endocrinologist and got more blood work done. My Dhea(sulfate) levels were very high 600+. And that could mean I might have a growth or PCOS. I have to go back in 2 months for more blood work and if it's still high I'm going to have to get a CT scan. I'm also 25.

      @@sergeantscumbag2116 ah glad you’re doing alright ! Yeah my hormone levels came back fine so that means my tumours (there’s 2 of them) aren’t secreting excess hormones which is good news .. and they’re benign. But it’s still nerve wracking cause I worry they’ll get bigger or eventually become cancerous 😬 wishing you good luck !!

    Benign and malignant have the same symptoms …

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @JoD-ib1fx Benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) tumors can sometimes share similar symptoms, such as pain, swelling, or the presence of a lump. However, malignant tumors are more likely to cause additional symptoms like unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or persistent pain, and they tend to grow more aggressively and spread to other parts of the body. Because of these overlapping symptoms, it's crucial to get any unusual signs checked by a healthcare professional who can perform the necessary tests to determine whether a tumor is benign or malignant. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to managing either condition effectively.

      How are you doing now? Did you do the surgery?

    • @annwhite67
      @annwhite67 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I had the surgery on the 5th of October. I had tumors on both glands. My right gland was removed and they removed a half of gland on the left side. I am doing well. I went back to work three weeks after the surgery.
