    Hi, this was a massive help to me today. See my video of weird indicator behaviour, now resolved thanks to a new stalk fitted following this super clear video. Really appreciated, thank you.

      @@HatBoyHarvey except on a test drive the problem is now reoccurring. That’s annoying! Maybe the BCM? Or the wiring module from the stalk? Grr.

      If you mean the whole unit then they are not screws, they are a small bar that you move to one side.. Hope this helps:-)

    Harvey, really good video. I used this last night on my '06 VRS. Only issue I had was my steering wheel looks to be fatter than yours and the mechanism for the air bag looks different. Long and short is I couldn't use the Halfords flat bladed screwdriver you were using, but had to sacrifice a longer (cheap) one and bend in the vice to get the extra reach as it is so tight between the glass on the dash and the back of the wheel. This is with the wheel fully pulled forward and pushed down. Once I got the air bag off it was plain sailing as always with your videos. Only share in case others have a VRS. Keep up the great work !

    The airbag light on my Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI DSG 2016 has started showing and now the horn and the buttons on the steering wheel doesn’t work (the buttons that you turn up the volume on the radio with or use cruise control with). I really would appreciate if you could answer this for me and what part I should buy for my car.

      I've never done this, but It could be that the clock-spring needs replacing and/or the control module needs re-setting. the clock-spring is an easy replacement, but I believe you will need VCDS or other to set :-)

    Hi bro, i am watching your videos. Nice. Keep goin. Why don't you add the cruise control to your car? I have 1.4 101 elegance, i will add it and i will share it in my channel. If you add too, i think it will be watched.

      Thanks, yes I think a video on this will be good. I'll have to look around for a good priced deal on the stalk and wiring loom to do it as I don't really need it, but I know many do, so it may happen :-)

    The more I see your videos, I love our Skoda Fabia 2004 1.9 TDI, because there are so many DIY's on your channel, and we save a lot of money avoiding the mechanic workshop.
    Are you planning to do some more severe jobs in the future - ex. changing the clutch, gearbox, turbocharger, exhaust ???
    And the last question. Do we need to shift the oil in the gearbox after some years or is it included in the normal engine oil shift?

    • @HatBoyHarvey
      @HatBoyHarvey  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Glad you like them. Yes I plan to keep doing videos, but I am limited in what I can do due to not having garage facilities, so no engine swaps as yet. I plan to do these later when I have the facilities. The gearbox oil is stated as lifetime, so how ever long you believe that is. I have changed out mine some years ago and my opinion is it is worth doing to preserve a vehicles extended life. it is seperate from the engine oil and a different type. I will do a video on this thanks :-)
