He could’ve definitely been solo, but back in the 1990s the best success for Black singers came with them in groups. Only a few black singers did well in being Solo at that time. I think it had more to do with the Market, and groups were more in demand at that time. Which is why Beyoncé started in a group. Dino was definitely a solo artist who had the full package, I wish he would’ve lived longer, because I think he would’ve ended up a successful solo artist.

I have to go with Portrait here. They were a far more well-rounded group with more than just one guy who can really sing. H-Town had an extremely dynamic singer and showman in Dino but his backing singers were off tune on more than one occasion.
Well hands down Dino was the best vocalist so by default H-Town would win. And yes Shazam and GI were off key on parts of Can You Stand The Rain. But overall H-Town took it. 2-1 In my opinion
