One could think this is not just an amazing bonsai class but a veiled mesage supporting Lebannon in this tough times. Gran trabajo! Saludos y gracias equipo!
A strange but very interesting olive tree in my neighborhood is what started my bonsai journey. I finally found material that I can create a representation of that form.
❤ thank you! Great Episode! Not to ever mix up Bonsai with politics - but a good day to share your work on this specific tree. Also great shirt! Here in Germany its not morel time (spring) but right now boletus-time - but the shirt is fitting the untold subtext perfectly of this species tree. Thank you for this subtleness. And for all of your work that changed western bonsai like no one else did (maybe Walter Pall excluded). Thank you so very much, Ryan and Bonsai Mirai! Peace ✌
Super Tuesday! Nice, im trying to be highly effective in all things KingsCanyon! I grew up going to those trees and my garden is growing, first with a newly repotted Sempervirens; goals of taking on Metsequioa in future and still in search of giganteam distributor! Ryan you’re the pioneer of American NiMtree (known in japan as bonsai; but in my home as Nature in Miniature Trees!) i agree with you 💯 in your vision of the LEADING direction of American NiM Ryan! You’re leadership is second to none! As i say simultaneously navigating both NiMtree journey as well as financialMkts as a dayTrader! My provenance in creation is all of you (+ #Bjorn of #Eisai-en 😉)

You gotta remember people that what he is doing isn’t what you would have to do if you were in the situation with that tree his points on health factor are beneficial yes but you don’t have to make bonsai this way exactly
It's a complicated art with a rich history and philosophy. Simple language is always preferable, but in application is difficult when describing the intricate design elements of the bonsai.
As always, incredible transformation, but still not loving the distal lower branches. Perhaps remove the middle of the 3 pads on the bottom right corner... or bend it down some more? And remove the vertical where those 3 (appear), come together? May be just the natural of the wild trees you are trying to mimic? Looking forward to the future.
Good desisions but the bad desicion was to remive the top. The top needs growing out to thicken the whole main trunk as its too thin compared to the trunk below the branching.
I miss super tuesdays!
Agree:( I miss a lot of the old Mairi
Damn I missed these videos
Not sure if the greatest master, but Ryan is probably the greatest bonsai teacher in the world.

So natural looking. I love it
I love your work from Australia.

Lovely tree Ryan !
❤❤❤❤❤amazing
Amazing work, ryan
Clip and grow is a good method. It's a long time. But worth it.

Lol, i stand corrected i think, if this near San Jaquen Valley 🤦🏻♂️
I was under the impression Fall was not a good time for styling and extensive pruning. What am I missing? Thank you! Amazing result.
It’s a very old stream
Some say that fall is the best time, doesn't matter as much when you have a greenhouse like mirai
At what season do you cut ? Thank you
I hate that I missed this live. My question for Ryan is what is the best way to prevent needle cast for cedars? specifically Atlas blue Cedars
How did you get that tree?
To my eye, that jin is incredibly overpowering.
I have a tree just like this one. (In my imagination.)
👍👌🙂
yes, take off the center branch at about 34 minutes in to the video
A Lebanese tree? The IDF has added your location to its target list!

Hello, if possible, add Persian language for better use of your useful videos
nice tree just wish you didn't try to make the art sound so complicated

if you have nice green house or a cold frame you can break rules

Lower branch on right side needs to go. It takes away from the making the tree look old as possible
Good lord no!! It's very necessary.
