The thing I always remember in most of the advertisements was "must be 18 years or older to order".
Today's kids don't even want to play with toys only tablets and watch other kids play with toys on TH-cam smh I miss being a kid lol being in my 20s in filled with stress , bills, college, anixety and on and off depression 😭😭

i have the whole toy story gang. woodys my favorite like andy & the first one i got on may 18 10 years ago at toys r us!!! i got him with me right now & i promised him i’ll always love him & take care of him no matter how old i am!!! i didnt care if i was 19 & still dont if im 29!!! but two years ago i was sleeping with him & when i woke up his head came off :( i was as devastated as andy was when he ripped his arm in the second movie. i guess it was just wear & tear. i got it back on but now it shakes & turns a lot. & now when i pull his string sometimes he doesnt say his sayings from the movie like hes supposed 2 & just says i was being loud. i guess thats just wear & tear too. im trying 2 keep my promise & never, ever, ever, ever break it like andy never did & like bonnie should never have. slinkys my second favorite cuz im a dog person & he was his best friend b4 buzz. when i play with woody & buzz sometimes i tell them they mightve said goodbye but as long as theyre with me theyll have each other & all be 2gether 4 infinity & beyond like it shouldve been. im glad toys r us opened back up in macys but i really hope they open their real stores back up like they were gonna b4 covid. i still love it & toys

That year, I had turned 10 on December 13th. My mom sent my brothers and I to the movies to see Jimmy Neutron and Monsters Inc. while she and her boyfriend wrapped our Christmas gifts. It was Christmas eve, and midnight when we got back, we got to open our presents. It's one of my favourite memories, we were all really happy.

I was seven years old in December 2001. This was around the time my mom was diagnosed with Crohns Disease and was in the hospital for a majority of December. So I remember sitting in the hospital room with her watching these commercials. I especially remember the music countdowns they did back then.

These old bumpers, commercials, promos for shows/movies (especially Jimmy Neutron, I remember that being Mammoth back then!), and of course that this was recorded during the holidays; just gives me a very nostalgic and comfy feeling inside. 2001 was the best year for Nickelodeon.
Everyone was going nuts until december 21 came for the released of the best movie of 2001.
Why are television bumpers today so basic (same for websites and logos), these always left an impression on me, and so do the minimal ones that still have their digninity today. No flat colours or "material design", details should return.
I came specifically to see how hard they pushed Jimmy Neutron and I was not disappointed lol. I remember them going HARD with promo for that movie
ah man I totally forgot about the cellular companies before everything was unlimited. Man I remember having sprint, their free night and weekend begin right around 7pm.....I had like 500 minutes for the month and less than 1GB for data.
