FYI - ropes with so called glued cores to the sheath or unicores are well established these days and every other rope has it. I am convinced that within few years the market is going to be empty of free-floating cores.
When Unicore came out in 2012 I thought the same thing! But today, it is still rare to have bonded/glued sheath and core. Unicore is used by Beal and Edelweiss (and licensed by PMI). Tendon has TeFix. Fixe has Fusion. That's 5-ish brands (out of at least 29). And, this tech is only on select rope models from those brands.
You had us scrambling for a bit as we searched for a glaring oversight on the subtitles! We were relieved each time the subtitles confirmed the spoken words, "core yarns."
