Halloween was and is pretty cool for me because you have other people remembering you growing up what your birthday is however for parties and stuff we focused more on getting gifts instead of trick or treating which wasn't that great.
My aunt was born on Christmas Day! Now last year she came to my house with her boyfriend at the time. We did the normal Christmas things and then after all the Christmas stuff is over we have a massive birthday party for her! It was amazing. So excited for it this year!!!

as someone born on christmas day, it does kinda suck having ur bday around the holidays. I always remember being little and watching my parents make sure that my brother and sister were the happiest thy could be on their bdays and let them do whatever they wanted, go shopping, eat what they want, they choose the music, movies, shows, etc, meanwhile i (the middle child) never got a day where they would do anything to make sure i was the happiest, because yea it was my bday but its also christmas and they have three kids so they cant just take away the holiday from my siblings bc i decided to pop out early =/ i remember arguing with my sister ab some dumb desert tradition and my mom let her choose what to make because I chose for thanksgiving, and when i said “but its my birthday!” she said “its christmas! today isnt about just you!!” and that stuck with me... and you dont get to see your friends or have parties so if you happen to be the blacksheep of the family (everyone on my moms side hates me and my dads side makes me upcomfy) you end up spending every birthday and christmas anxious to see people you dont even like and you cant even blame your friends because it’s christmas for crying out loud. theyre not gonna skip on the vacations and flights and traditions and winter break just to come see me, i was just never that important to anybody. Things are a little better now, as the family gets bigger and bigger it gets harder to gather and they never really came down to see me for my bday anyways (last year some family came down and said merry christmas but forgot it was my bday so when they saw my gmas cake they were asking y she made a bday cake... it was my moms older brother and his family...) but at least i dont have to deal with the stress. ig as an adult, now its just a lonely day that makes me feel small, I’ll probably stop celebrating my bday and just celebrate christmas instead

I’ve never met anyone that shared a birthday with each other. like I haven’t had two friends with same birthdays, or family that shared with a friend, etc etc. and it took me 17 years to meet someone who shared a birthday with me. coincidentally we were born in the same year too. found out I was 10 hours older tho.

as someone born on christmas day, it does kinda suck having ur bday around the holidays.
I always remember being little and watching my parents make sure that my brother and sister were the happiest thy could be on their bdays and let them do whatever they wanted, go shopping, eat what they want, they choose the music, movies, shows, etc, meanwhile i (the middle child) never got a day where they would do anything to make sure i was the happiest, because yea it was my bday but its also christmas and they have three kids so they cant just take away the holiday from my siblings bc i decided to pop out early =/
i remember arguing with my sister ab some dumb desert tradition and my mom let her choose what to make because I chose for thanksgiving, and when i said “but its my birthday!” she said “its christmas! today isnt about just you!!” and that stuck with me...
and you dont get to see your friends or have parties so if you happen to be the blacksheep of the family (everyone on my moms side hates me and my dads side makes me upcomfy) you end up spending every birthday and christmas anxious to see people you dont even like
and you cant even blame your friends because it’s christmas for crying out loud. theyre not gonna skip on the vacations and flights and traditions and winter break just to come see me, i was just never that important to anybody.
Things are a little better now, as the family gets bigger and bigger it gets harder to gather and they never really came down to see me for my bday anyways (last year some family came down and said merry christmas but forgot it was my bday so when they saw my gmas cake they were asking y she made a bday cake... it was my moms older brother and his family...) but at least i dont have to deal with the stress.
ig as an adult, now its just a lonely day that makes me feel small, I’ll probably stop celebrating my bday and just celebrate christmas instead
