I really hope that the people from Japan who develop SUZUKI cars also watched your video. Such a piece of crap from this door check strap from a Japanese manufacturer should not be allowed to be installed in cars. 5 years and it's broken. And not just for one door, but all four. I also have a Czech car and it is 25 years old and it works perfectly. Thanks for the video and good solution.
Same with Subarus. The ones in those actually look exactly the same as the Vitara’s. I think they came from the same supplier. The window switches too.

I've been looking for this for a long time. Thanks
It actually lasted 4 months before I just replaced them with new ones haha Thankfully they are pretty universal so i got a random cheap set that fitted ok from ebay
Atleast your door falls open, mine on the previous model close themselves!! I have to hold it open with my foot as I get in. Suzuki never fixed this clearly.
My car was on a slope so the door opened. The passenger door would need a foot to stay open. Like the squeaking brakes it is something they just didn't sort

I'm pleased the video helped. I too have had old cars and have never had an issue with check straps.

Thanks for the video! Very explicative. I also appreciate your energy and humor, very funny guy! Cheers from Italy 👍🏼
Good idea. I have fixed all 4 straps in my Suzuki S-Cross 2016. Cheers from Hungary
Pleased the vid helped you over there in Hungary :D
Thank you thank you thank you. I've been looking for a way to fix it without replacing it.
I installed new damping clips from Aliexpress on my 2007 Grand Vitara. $5 kit for 2 doors.
Seems to be working well so far.
Thank you I'm having the same issue with my Suzuki swift. Looks like the exact same parts are used for the door hinges thanks
Brilliant mate thank you ❤
I have a few Vitara videos if you search on my channel, might give you a few tips to tweak your car
Good video , now to see if I can get the door covers off . 3 stars
I did it one handed, go meeee! hehe
Works like new 😅
You know that will last 2 months.. put some more washers in 😅
