@@Immersaholic Thanks I appreciate it! Neither can I… I basically make a new music mod for every new faction that I start a campaign with at this point 😂
Thank you very much mate! Yes the loss of Sicily caught me off guard for sure! There will be plenty more ups and downs too. You should've seen my Parthian campaign, I spent the entire campaign on the backfoot with constant setbacks :D
Late comment but here I am! Very excited for this campaign. Amazing video as always, you make the best style of campaign videos out of the Total War content creators. Looking forward to how this campaign goes, maybe goal of hegemony of the Mediterranean?
G'day mate good to see your name in my notification list again! Appreciate your support and love as always! I'm thinking yeah that'll probably be our end goal. Anything more than that will only happen if fighting the Greeks gets really interesting.
The Igarimen will eventually backstab Carthage, one day they will have to be brought under Carthage's protection and pay for help if the Egyptians ever invade
Nice video and interesting start to the campaign, very interesting. I have to ask though, can that horrible 'disdained faction leader' modifier be removed? Or it's there to stay?
I was interested in the river battle, General Mago attempted to hold the river against superior forces, which was a clock running out fast, while he held troops in reserve and hid his cavalry on the enemy's side of the river. When the clock was about half way through, as far as I can tell, he sent his cavalry to get an undefended siege equipment unit instead of harrassing the enemy's rear, leaving the clock running down fast, but this might have been because a) the siege equipment was doing more damage and b) the enemy also had reserve troops which might have caught his cavalry in the rear if they weren't quick enough to get away during their hit and runs. Soon after he tried to reinforce the river defence but the troops simply weren't strong enough. All in all, the clock inevitably running down was the critical factor and I wonder if - to have any chance at all - he should have tried to send more troops and the elephants over the other bridge to enable more action on the enemy's rear and/or protect the cavalry doing that. But seeing the speed with which the clock ran down I doubt that would have worked, anyway.
Ayy you started the Carthage campaign 😎 That battle was proper tricky indeed, could’ve maybe went differently but taking the siege equipment was important so the enemy couldn’t just force us to go to them due to range advantage
I’d consider leaving the Sicilian territories alone until Rome declares war on them? And when both sides are weakened on the island I’d initiate the Punic wars preemptively and take back Sicily. Unless the mod you’re playing with the Punic wars script turned off ofc
Cheers for the input mate! The idea I had was to make Syracuse a client state quickly so that way we can avoid war with Rome until mid-campaign. Although I obviously failed that pretty majorly XD
@@Immersaholic lol it’s a tough mission to undertake I tried to do it on both sides and failed multiple times. If you’re looking to do a campaign with a similar goal in mind I’d recommend that mod :) haven’t tested it myself but Being just a script change I’m sure it works
Thanks for the kind words mate! I haven’t tried 41 units as my pc would probably turn the battles into a slideshow, that and eventually the engine itself will just be unable to cope. I’d really like to try it though, so maybe if I ever can afford a new PC I’ll try it then.
Just normal for this campaign, usually I play on Hard campaign and normal battle but I wanted to be able to do more diplomacy in this campaign that made sense so normal usually allows that more than any other.
@@quisshmoov6313 I think hard CAN be really really fun but it also seems to just make everyone fight you, even people who like you which is very frustrating sometimes. If you've seen my Parthian campaign I uploaded you'll know my pain lol XD Thanks mate!
@@Immersaholic lol it does make the ai super aggressive and hurts the diplomacy game. Last question, unit size do you prefer large or ultra? I'm looking to do a similar run myself.
I appreciate you asking mate but for the moment it is not, I'll talk to Manco and see how he feels about that. Its a tricky subject since copyright infringement can be an issue since he's using other soundtracks from other games. I can use them in videos without issue though so at least you all get to enjoy them this way. I hope you like the soundtrack!
I’m definitely trying not to, I declared war on Syracuse to try and make them a client state so we wouldn’t have to fight Rome so fast. Didn’t work out as planned obviously
Why are not playing the game i mean its anoying to see hwo you draw and stuff and not play the game, Plss just play the game. For me its boring to see you not playing the battle and just showing like small scenes of the battle. Why do you not play the game normal?

Carthage one of my favorite factions to play as. For the Imperium carthagenum⚔️
Carthage is always a classic! I haven’t ever finished a full campaign as them though 🤫
And so it Begins. Very Nice!
I read that in the LOTR King Theoden's voice "So it begins" XD
Excellent narration and explanation . Well done. Hope you are well, still waiting for roman 3rd episode
You know Rome 1 may be a little outdated, but the music and intros are still the best
They are definitely nostalgic! I think the custom soundtrack we have in this run are really epic too, a lot of music from Troy which is really nice.
yo hey man, ive been MIA for a while. but def hyped for this and glad to be watching again
so hyped to see you [as carthage they are def one of my fav factions, Hannibal played by Immersaholic ftw
