I've always been uniquely infatuated with Camaros, and soon my dreams are going to be a reality. I've just learned today, on my 28th birthday, that my 2SS Collector's edition has been produced and shipment is being arranged! What a great birthday present. Thanks Chevy, see you on the track.

As a lifelong Camaro owner, this video embodies the reality of GM’s lack of passion and commitment to an ICONIC NAMEPLATE.
You’d think they would have avoided hoodwinking us with such a video.
That being said, it’s a sad era to be a Camaro enthusiast.
However, it’s up to us to keep the nameplate alive and appreciate what this car has meant to us over the last 50+ years.

@@bird-man4022 Camaro has High potential like Dodge Challenger, I don't wanna escalate this, but Corvette is the Favorite Child of GM. Like ok, but Camaro vs Mustang is one of the Spiciest Rivalry in the Automotive industry, and GM is neglecting and letting the Spice get stale.

I feel like they should have had retro-inspired goodbye editions like Dodge did, it would capture the hearts of us classic car enthusiasts and is just so much cooler than just another ZL1.
In all honesty, the Camaro's fate was sealed already in 2018 when Al Oppenheiser transfered to the Hummer EV team. It's been put on cruise control (and later life support) since then, no meaningful updates except for a few parts bin additions and a questionable exterior redesign. Quite a shame, because this was an absolutely fantastic car, and the 6th gen is a wasted opportunity for GM; had they listened to the few valid cricitisms and tweaked the car like Ford and Dodge did with their counterparts, it could very well have earned the reputation and sales it would've deserved. With that said, I will keep and cherish my 2018 for as long as possible.
They could've did so much more with the Camaro, sad to see it go.
As a german petrol head, and considering Chevrolet wasn´t offering the Camaro ZL1 here in Germany, I´m so proud to own one of these ZL1 masterpieces! The sound and driver feeling especially with the 6MT is just wicked! Despite the fact coming out of the JDM scene and owning a 370Z Nismo and GT-R R35 as well, it became my favourite muscle car!
I put in my order for a 2SS collectors edition beginning of July still waiting for it to be accepted and hoping it can still be built. This panther collectors edition is perfect, great job. Wish this wasnt the end of Camaro.

GM never really loved the Camaro. It always was the Stepchild of the Corvette. GM couldn't even give it a Proper Send Off and put the "Blackwing Motor" in the car... As the Mustang lives on and gets a Supercar GTD. So sad, you will be Missed Legend.. 😢

As an owner of a ZL1-1LE, I feel like they ruined the special aspect of the ZL1-1LE package by putting those items on what is a regular ZL1 (no disrespect) with different paint and decals. meanwhile you killed any chance for people to get a ZL1-1LE for 2024, and yes I know the wheels, suspension, and front facia is different, but this is typical GM by missing the mark when u had an opportunity to do something special, feels like the team was told, you have zero budget, make something out of what we have laying around, and it's more expensive by the way. Anyone wonder who made this decision for us all that we are getting electric cars like or not? if electric is so great convince me that it's a better option, not force me into it. I'm really disappointed that things are going this way, I think we will look back on this in time and see how big of a mistake it really is. sorry to see us go from awesome battles between Mustang, Camaro, and challenger, with one company trying to top the other with us getting 500hp, 600hp, on and on. it's hopefully just a pause, not really the end.
I have to agree. I was throughly upset to know we couldn’t order the zle. Instead they half assed it. You can get the hood, wing and rims. So then you’re driving around having to explain why you have half of a zle. GM dropped the ball.
So glad I was able to get a 2023 ZLE. Was gonna hold out for 2024 because there were rumours of a Z28 or some great final trim. Instead we got a half-ass 1LE package for double the price. Limited quantity doesn’t justify gauging the price.
Couldn’t agree more. I tried so hard to get a ZLE was only able to get a 23 2ss 1le which is an amazing car. I just didn’t want to get a used one. I ordered both in 22 but only one was picked up and still took over a year to get. I was not willing to pay a big mark up considering Chevy already jacked up the price at msrp for the last few years. My local dealer has a zl1 panther edition sitting at $100k .
@chrismaddox1634 you're right that SS-1LE is a fantastic car, my nephew has one, and I was doing the same hoping to get some super special car like the Z/28 as you said. I'm not trying to disrespect those that got the panther, my comments were aimed at GM instead of sending the camaro out with a bang like dodge did with the challenger, it's going out with a whimper.
@benr539 100% correct, and didn't they tell us that the reason we couldn't get a ZL1-1LE is because of inability to get parts like the rear wing? well, they found 300 of them. I really do feel for those that wanted the ZL1-1LE and couldn't get it, I waited over a year for mine.

So sad to see the Camaro go away, especially this platform. They've really done a great job building a complete package: from aggressive looks, outstanding track capability/cooling, and intoxicating exhaust note to comfortable daily usability and mpg. The car impresses me every day and offers a thrill that leaves a smile from ear to ear. This is a very underrated car that has so many features it's difficult to list them all. Hopefully, the 7th generation is on the horizon!

This is a parts bin car. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Camaro, but come on Chevy, you guys introducing this with a new exhaust sound, suspension, wheels, but it is a send off on what already existed.
I do like the t-shirt 67-24, though. Marketing budget better suited for early on in the 6th generation lifespan.

I got a collectors edition, and I guarantee this shirt is in the care package that they're sending out. Wonder what the differences you get per package for the different trims.

The paint on these does look pretty good. I’ve had an order in since beginning of July, still not allocated. It’s looking like I’ll be out of luck on that car. Happy hunting for those wanting a 2024 6th gen.
Can’t even order one it’s too late and they marked them up to over $100,000 plus. I will stick with my 2018 ZL1

Loved my Camaro. (Midnight grey 2017 1LT convertible). I put 60K miles on it the first year I had it. I drove that thing everywhere, top down, loving life. Had it for a few years, then sold it to buy my wife a new car. Three months after I sold it, I get a notice in the mail to come pick up my totaled Camaro. The guy I sold it to nearly killed himself driving it drunk. I miss that car; it kind of hurt to know he destroyed it. I'm glad he was ok, but I warned him about it when I sold it to him: it's so much fun, you better watch your speed. I had that thing up to 150mph on an empty stretch of highway, top down, early on a summer morning as the sun was rising, flying by a group of bikers going 80mph on I90 in WA. I'll probably buy another one next year, maybe I'll get the 2024 ZL1; those things are beautiful.
Chevy should have dropped a detuned version of the LT5 in the last Camaro. Could have sent the Camaro off with an epic bang!

Tried my best for months to find a dealer with an allocation for a ZL1 Collectors Edition, never happened unfortunently.
I ended up ordering a 2SS coupe Collectors Edition to go with my 2023 ZL1 1LE.
It has a TPW week of 11/6🤞
I would give up both in a heartbeat to get 1 of the ZL1's.
you're extremely lucky. apparently there were only about 450 or so '23 ZLE's produced. exceedingly rare.
We are in the same boat. We were lucky to get a 23 ZL1 1LE and then our dealership ordered our 2SS Convertible CE. We were bummed we couldn’t get the ZL1 but we are on cloud nine with our 23ZL1 1LE
@@stormzybanksy yep...we were extremely lucky. We were 3rd on a waiting list half the country away. The 2 people ahead of us couldn't complete the deal. Sometimes it just is meant to be I guess.

Chevrolet is my favorite car brand and I remember with pleasure and nostalgia the great 4 and 2 door models, such as Impala, Monte Carlo, Chevy SS, Malibu and especially the Camaro, it is a shame that I am skeptical

Sad that the iconic Camaro, and awesome sixth gen, did not get a deluxe sendoff like the Dodge Challenger did.
"new lineup's design inspiration" WHAT??? They painted a 2023 model in flat black, stuck a couple of badges and stickers on it and charged between 5k-15k for the same car you could get minus the color for that much less, so typical of GM.

Again you guys killed a classic… As an owner of a 2000 Z28 and a 2017 50th Anniversary 2SS I am disgusted with what General Motors has done to destroy the American Automotive Enthusiast Lifestyle. Come on 350 ZL1 editions? Those were bought up long before anyone who truly would appreciate and love those cars could have a chance to buy one, and even if they get a chance to buy one. Who could afford to pay WAY over MSRP for them, if you can even find them. You start your video by mentioning the affordability of these cars, but fail to point out that the NEW automotive market now is NOT affordable to the AVERAGE American. I’m a die hard GM guy, but Americans DO NOT want electric cars, and until you tell these TOOLS in DC the truth our once great past time will become just that, a thing of the past…

Lol this is a piss poor effortless attempt to send off the Camaro. Itll never be the mustang if Chevy continues to not care about it in the slightest. Ford comes out with a whole new generation of Mustang V8s and all with a whole lineup yet to come in the next few years GT, DarkHorse, Gt350, Gt500. All this while Chevy is sending off the Camaro "a mustang killer" with a fucken paint and stripe package and calling it a "collectors edition".
The Camaro will disappear in 2024 and Chevy did the bare minimum to kick it out the door on its way out. Its actually kind of sad😢

1984 Z28 H.O. was a great car. I think the 3rd gen was the best design.
Yes it was. My first Camaro was an 84 Z28 h.o. L69 5 speed. Red. Drove it for 70,000 miles and it never missed a beat. I miss that car even today.

Do you know the Collector's Edition production numbers for the following trim levels...LT, LT1, and SS?

Why not go out with a flex fuel and ported super charger making 700hp. The primer gray doesn’t work (lots of 23 Blackwings in that color still available). Keeping my 18 ZL1

Traded in my 2018 2SS 1LE to order my Zl1 18 months ago from my local dealership only to find out now they cant get an allocation for one .

Could not figure why I can't get the 1LE on a convertible but there is a ZL1 convertible. I really don't care for decals, chrome nor anything else that doesn't aid performance.

Those Z- L1 cars won’t be sold at MSRP, they will be sold at a big mark up, the lower the number the high the price,. They will rarely if ever be driven They will be like the 1987 GNX, bought by speculators, hoping to sell it for huge profit, squeezing out the true enthusiast.

It's a nice looking camaro but they should have done more like carbon ceramic brakes titanium exhaust systems and carbon fiber wheels at least or the LT5 WITH 755HP making it the most powerful camaro ever
Chevy never learns, awful release after awful release. They never make the cars people want. It makes me believe anything good that they do is accidental. They betray their fans and make a mockery of the Legacy that the old cars and culture had. Sorry to say that I was a Chevrolet fan.
GM is all about repeating mistakes, they discontinued the Camaro before only to bring it back. Why? To screw people for money. They tell lies more than any brand. We are gonna do this and they come back with something different every time! I hate GM! I’m getting rid of every GM vehicle I own! The end.

GM is disgraceful for letting this icon die without any justice. There are plenty of opportunities to grow the nameplate especially now that the Corvette is mid-engine. Yet they chose EVs that no one will buy and irrelevant SUVs that do nothing for the brand.
