In Maryland those yellow throated fish are called Sunfish. Bluegill are the ones with blue stripes on the gill cover, and Green Sunfish have blue stripes on the gill cover and their fins have an orange edge.
I live in Kansas and I’m putting a pond to in my backyard. What do I do with the fish during the winter? I will have Koi, Goldfish, Bass, Crappie, and Bluegill.

The best crappie rig i've found for that location is 6lb low vis green mono tied to a road runner with pink or orange head and green grub with chartreuse tail. Set the trolling motor to the slowest setting and troll the road runner down the bank.
Hey Bama. I see you have trouble on your crappie trips lol. May I suggest using a 2" Berkley Gulp Minnow with a little bobber. Throw it into wood or under trees. I catch em here in PA just dragging it behind the boat while bass fishing lol
Best thing to do IMO would have been putting the bluegill in the tank you use to store minnows and shiners for the bass, and keep it there until you could find something else to put in the tank with Moby, then add all of them together so that Moby couldn't pick on a single fish all the time. Also adding more shelters might be a good idea considering how savage he is.

Get a gar or a redfish in the pond. Redfish can live in freshwater with bass because I have caught bass and redfish out of the same areas
