I'm 6'3 185 and am going to get the Puddle Jumper regular, not the Puddle Jumper HP. Just can't decide on size, Was thinking 6'2 or 6'1. Have a hard time at my size(tall and thin-ish) on anything 6'0 and below. Was going to get custom 6'2/22"/2.75-2.82".
    6'1? or 6'2?

Do the 2 plus 1 fins work on this board?

You can try it for sure. We would say a quad is the best way to go.

I can't seem to get an answer on if I can ride the PJ in an extra long size 6'4" for the sake of volume or will that throw off the board design. I'm 5'7" 160 lbs tall. Average surfer..can hit the lip of the wave a little, just enjoy a lot of volume for the sake of paddling and catching a lot of waves easily. Help anyone?

i'm 6'3 and 190 lbs, got the 5'11 and is way enough volume to paddle and catch waves easily, a few strokes and you're in the wave and then it flies, i set it as a quad and loving it, i think you'd be fine with a 5'9, sounds like we're about the same level and you're smaller than i am, at most get the 5'11 but above that you'll feel like too much float, the duckdive will become a pain and you shouldn't need more volume than 41cl

@@jose2x784 I got a 6'2" puddle jumper. It was 46liters. It was a really fun board. Increased my wave count so much...paddling..catching..I was even still able to duck dive it deep enough to stay clear of the lip etc. BUT I did notice when the waves were steep..head high..or fast with a lip I would get caught up at the top of the lip and it wasnt too cool. Mushy open , face waves wonderful. I did have to make sure I put alot of effort to step far enough back on the wide tail to engage the turns because it was so big I'd end up too far forward. SO..I sold the 6'2" and bought the 5'10" Puddle jumper ROUND PIN TAIL at 36liters..reading that that RP is better for steeper drops and bigger waves BUT the loss of volume was a bad idea for me. Wasnt as fun..and trying to drop into steeper , faster bigger waves on a shorter board with less volume just wasnt happening..I dint have that skill level to match it. Though every once and a while I'd catch a clean smaller quick waves and the PJRP would come alive and feel good. Miss the 6'2" PJ. SO..I sold the PJRP too..AND GOT MY HANDS ON A 5'10 FIREWIRE SEASIDE AND THAT IS A GAME CHANGER!!! SUCH A FUN BOARD..CATHES WAVES..PADDLES GOOD..but..on steeper more hollow waves I need a longer board with less width and more rocker..but..since I'm getting better more quickly with the Seaside it doesnt really matter.

PJ or PJ hp for a beginner?
    Im 160lbs 6’2

PJ for sure..the HP takes off too much noticable volume..especially for a beginner. Get alot of volume on what ever board u get..go bigg make skill gains and then slowly start stepping the volume and size down of the boards. If not..you'll waste alot of learning days and not enjoy it either:/
