    The entire video focuses on being"Meditative" which is a quality.... "Meditation" is not the goal here...Being "Meditative" in nature is the end of suffering and thats the goal😊😊

    Meditation is a space between your past and future thoughts which is called the present, when you stop fighting and judging your thoughts you will start to enter the meditative space, when one thinks of their grief, well it is in the past and the future, so peace and happiness must be in the present, so one just needs to take their attention from the past and the future and into the present and when one understands that then there is no effort needed to be in the present because the meditative space is thoughtless, if you start thinking about how it works then you'll go back into the past and future because those are the states of thought and the present is a thoughtless space.

    3 Tips on HOW to start meditating:
    1. Remove all distractions - find a quiet place
    2. Calm down - the simple and natural way is slow down your breathing
    3. Direct the mind - focus on a certain subject (concentration meditation) or start observing (mindfulness meditation). Its two different types of meditation

    I liked this whole talk.But the end of suffering by separating mind and body from yourself was the best part of it. It opened up a new method for meditation. And the when you get free from self preservation
    it'll open up other dimensions of life was a real enlightenment. Sadhguru is a genuine master.

      @@anjalipendem6494 Body and Mind are separate from us. True self is giving life to body and mind till death. Thinking body and mind as the true self is an illusion and the limitation blocking our growth. Meditation starts by watching our mind as a separate entity. Gradually get control over the mind. Breathing is the basic process to get control over body and then mind. Once we get out of this entanglement we break away from the imprisonment of self preservation.

    The prescribed way, "to do whatever is required," is the Waking Sleep or Turiya,
    infusing the world with your Spirituality.
    Thought, Feeling and Will/Awareness, ...are the process of Nervous System, Breathing and the Metabolic/Endocrine System, respectively.
    Body rests on Mind,
    Mind on Silence,
    and then, Presence.

    So, to be meditative is the quality of being unwavering.
    Certainty of who you are, what you desire, and what DOESN’T matter (in context of what you want), can help with that.

    • @WeAreBlank18
      @WeAreBlank18 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, a better way to sum up the way to become unwavering, is to become unreactive to anything, and simply make decisions. Conscious decisions, not instinctive action, for we are not JUST animals, we are humans.

    • @WeAreBlank18
      @WeAreBlank18 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And the particular unwavering quality is put towards whatever you think in the moment will make you happy, blissful, ecstatic, without the predicament of external circumstances to put you in a place that’s bad instead of good, since even in a bad place, you yourself, can be good.

    I liked Sadhguru's succinctness about suffering..."it only comes through the body or the mind"...
    But I am starting to suspect The Buddha said it best:
    "Suffering is caused by desire"
    Which leads me to conclude that if I manage to eliminate desire, I basically have it "made"....But growing up in the "advanced" Western World, no one needs to tell me "Good luck with that boy"🤣🙄🥺.
