1000 Lakes Rally 1992

(in Finnish, the audio track cracks a bit) A review of the 1992 rally. Juha Kankkunen (Lancia #1) chases his team mate Didier Auriol's (#3) early lead. Toyota's Markku Alen (#5) struggles with the handling of his Celica, Ford Sierra Cosworth's of Francois Delecour (#8) and Miki Biasion (#4) are followed by the Sierra of a privateer Sebastian Lindholm (#22). Colin McRae (#9) amazes everyone with his fighting spirit and drive on a wrinkled Subaru Legacy [35:55-37:30]. On group N the Mitsubishi Galant's (Kytölehto (#24), Hellman (#52), Walfridsson (#16), Vihavainen (#34), Kivenne (#25), ...) are challenged by belgian Gregoider de Mevius' (#12) Nissan.

Auriol really was in peak condition in this event. Beating the locals on their homeground they know like the back of their pocket
