Love this review and all the details. Gorgeous hotel. Loved the room but I'm big on ocean views so that's the only major thing I'd want different.
Sidebar: The plunge pool would top everything off especially if one is going with their beaubfor anice couples getaway I was thinking before seeing this review but then seeing that you'd basically be looking right down into the plunge pool of the room beneath you makes me feel as if there's a bit of a lack of privacy in taking that option just because it juts out below.
I understand completely, re the ocean views. I love a good ocean/pool view too. I say go for the room upgrade if you can. Also, I definitely feel you on the lack of privacy re the plunge pool. You could perhaps ask the hotel if they have more private options, though I think they're pretty much all like that (I could be wrong). Thanks so much for watching and sharing, appreciate it.
Couples
We are between this resort or the Hyatt Zillara for our honeymoon in January. Can you compare the two?
Excellence is perfect for couples. I mentioned it in the hotel review. Hyatt would be good too, but Excellence definitely gives me more of a honeymoon vibe. You can check out the review videos on this channel for both of those hotels.

Honestly expected a better view even for a ‘lower level’ room but the actual room itself is gorgeous.
I feel you, I didn't think it was terrible though. I thought it was serene. The room is really nice for true.
