    13 And the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy.

    15 ( Now the Philistine had stopped and filled with earth all the wells that his father's servants had dug in the day( thinking of John 4:12-14 now in Christ) of Abraham😊❤ his father.)
    16 And a

    17 So Isaac😊❤ departed from there and emcamped in the valley of Gerar and settled there.
    18 And Isaac😊❤ dug again to wells of water that has been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them.
    20
    But when Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well( thinking of John 4:12-14 again in Christ)
    of spring water,
    20 the herdmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen, saying,
    " The water is ours." So he called the name of the well Esek( Esek= "contention"( ESV Study Bible)), because they contended with him."( so far Genesis 26:12-20 ESV Study Bible)
    John 4:12-14
    " 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob( Isaac's son called Jacob later called Israel😊❤
    )? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock(

    13 Jesus😊1st❤ said to her( Woman of Samaria),

    14 but😊❤

    In Christ Jesus the more you dug in Christ😊❤ or God's words😊❤ in Christ

    Back to Genesis 26:21-22
    "21 Then they dug another well😊❤, and they quarreled ( why quarreled when we can love😊❤ in Christ right😊❤?) over that also, so he called its name Sitnah( Sitnah="enmity" ( ESV Study Bible))
    22(a) And
    he( Isaac😊❤)
    moved from there and dug another well( Jesus😊❤ had by his cross, and Jesus' resurrection power from dead to life instead dug a well he had made a way/ ladder for everyone to go to God our Father in heaven. In Jesus'name, i pray( John 14:6😊❤, Jesus😊1st❤ is the way, the truth and the life to God our Father in heaven). Amen. Well was dug bottom down but heaven is upward by faith ( trust ) in Jesus😊1st❤ right( John 14:6😊❤ and John 3:16😊❤) ?
    Again back to Genesis 26:22 then back to John 4:12-14 again as my wrap in Christ. In Jesus'name, i pray( Romans 8:28 :) and Matthew 28:19-20 :) ) Amen.
    Genesis 26:22

    I think John Piper is right that when we enjoy something, there should always be an element of enjoying God in that thing. God is all in all (1 Cor 15:28).
    But I would disagree that we should be grateful for something given by a mean-spirited person. I think gratitude is only appropriate in response to something that is given, at least partly, in love.
    So, for example, if a man gives me a hundred dollars so that someone else will give him a thousand dollars, and that is his only motivation in giving me the hundred dollars, I think it would be wrong for me to be grateful for the hundred dollars. I will be glad that I have the money, but I wouldn't be grateful, since I have not been shown any love.

    But unto the Son he said, “Thy throne, O’ God” (Hebrews 1:8):
    God glorifies himself in his Son. Why? Jesus is just like his Father; all things God has, he has given to Jesus. God speaks and does all things through his Son (Hebrews 1:2); thus, Jesus is the brightness of his Father’s glory, and the express image of his Father, and the Father is well pleased in his Son’s representation of Him. Just as Jesus tells us, we are to strive to be one with them (John 17:22). In John 10:34, Jesus said “ye are gods;” by no means are we actual ‘gods,’ but we are to resemble God and do all things as Jesus did. This is what it means for us to become one even as *they* are one.
    It is the Father’s spirit that dwells in us that will raise the dead, cast out devils, and heal the sick; those who behold these wonders will witness the Father's power and spirit working through us. This is only true for those who are truly of God. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:16, “I will live in them and walk in them, and I will be their God and they will be my people.”

    God says He desires and wills the salvation of all and He can change all of our hearts to believe and obey Him easily and He will do ALL of His pleasure according to the Bible. He says He will restore all, make all new, wipe tears from all faces and will eventually be “All in all!” Not one verse says God can’t forgive after death and many verses say He will, the gates of the New Jerusalem will “never be shut.” The gospel was preached to those who are dead, He went and preached to the spirits in prison…Behold, I make all things new!

      I wonder if you’re making a case for every person being saved?
      Also that word is proclaimed. Not preached to the spirits in prison.
      He proclaimed that he had done it.
      He didn’t offer a chance for them to believe after death.

    So to be consistent, the unelect get no hope of salvation, no grace towards salvation, no mercy in salvation & no joy because God/Christ is the source of true Joy. The more I compare Calvinism to scripture, the more evil it becomes.

    • @bagmediachannel

      All the things you mentioned God owes us none of them. The only thing God owes us is His wrath and judgement. When you come to understand then you understand why we should have more gratitude and adoration and worship towards God. If your view is He owes us any of the blessings you mentioned then Calvinism will seem evil. I believe reformed theology as a whole if understood and represented rightly is the most sound theology.

    • @mikelyons2831
      @mikelyons2831 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bagmediachannel I'm not surprised you believe that (about Calvinism). That sounds sanctimonious, but it isn't biblical. Most Calvinists aren't taught the Genesis to Revelation message of God sending His Son to redeem His greatest creation from wrath. Hence, they remain Calvinists.

    • @bagmediachannel
      @bagmediachannel 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikelyons2831 respectfully how is it sanctimonious to say God does not owe us those good things you mentioned. I added myself in the us. I apologize if you think I was claiming to be better than anyone I don’t see how you get sanctimonious out of what I said. And to assume reformed brothers and sisters haven’t been taught from Gen-Rev sounds more sanctimonious. But I’m not trying to disrespect or argue with you my point is when you understand Gods sovereignty your thankfulness to Him overflows. We don’t deserve Jesus. He first loved us not the other way around. No one comes to the Christ apart from God drawing them and no one goes to the Father except through Christ that’s all I was trying to communicate. One more thing reformed folks take the whole book not just parts.

    • @mikelyons2831
      @mikelyons2831 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bagmediachannel Unfortunately, Reformed folks are taught wrongly. 👿 first & favorite go-to has always been "Hath God indeed said".
      For example, Calvinist Pastors will use Romans 3:10-18 to teach Total Depravity/Total Inability. (Quote from JMac) "Man is so totally depraved he can't & won't seek God he is unwilling & incapable" (in that passage Paul is pulling from Psalm 14 & 53 of what the FOOL says & does...how embarrassing for Calvinist Pastors to miss that)
      Scripture: You were born when & where you were born to seek God (Acts 17:26-31)
      While Jesus is standing before a mostly Jewish audience he says "And this is the WILL of Him that sent Me, that EVERYONE who sees the Son & believes in Him may have everlasting life..." (John 6:40). Then after His crucification Jesus draws all (John 12:32). & the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin & righteousness (John 16:8). Not just Calvinism's pre-selected elite special favored elect!!
      It is cult-like to assume "Some/Members Only Club" are pre-chosen & the rest of humanity are pre-damned. To teach "any, all, everyone, everyman, whosoever & world" always means Calvinism's elect from nations, tribes, tongues, etc. is narcissistic, egoic & cultish.
      You know who is prevented/forbidden from: John 1:7, 1:9, 1:12, 3:15-18, 5:24, 6:40, 6:47, 20:30-31, Romans 5:18, 10:11-13, 11:32, 12:3, 1 Corinthians 15:20-22, 1 Timothy 2:4-6, Titus 2:11, Colossians 1:19-20, Hebrews 2:9, 1 John 2:2 & 4:14 & Revelation 22:17... answer, no one.

    • @mikelyons2831
      @mikelyons2831 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bagmediachannelThat's just it... God sent His Son to redeem everyone that will & CAN call upon Jesus for salvation. Would you like scriptures proving that? & if I take the time to give them, will you believe them? Or have you succumbed to the cult-like obfuscation of vs' that say: Any, all, everyone, everyman, whosoever & world always means Calvinism's special favored pre-chosen elect.
      Not being snarky. Not knowing the redemptive plan of God from Genesis to Revelation is why many remain Calvinists. Being taught erroneously that you're in Club Elect/Members Only, & then being suade to be a pervayor of such a false gospel is 👿 end-game.
