Nick Campbell cub simba is probably suppose to wait before pouncing so you don’t end up getting hurt because you have to avoid the attacks either way also most bosses in Video games have a certain position or weak spot before you can do anything to them

As a kid playing (and never beating) these games, I like to imagine it would somehow get more "graphically" impressive as you get closer to the end (including beyond my imagination). But it makes a lot more sense that it would all look about the same from beginning to end.

Scar could be defeated sooner, once his health is down he starts taking breaks and the game tries to tell you 'Throw him off the cliff now!' but setting that up is kinda tricky since Scar can recover and starts attacking again. So yeah, Scar has acually unlimited health you could say, as a child i was stuck there around 20 minutes until i threw him off the cliff by accident XD
7:05 watch out! That's Scar's Finishing Move called "All Hail The King" it comes with a dramatic cutscene where he confesses it was him who killed mufasa the exact same way.
Good lord this game was SO hard!! I remember how frustrating this and other Disney games were growing up haha. What really made games hard back in the day was no saves (obviously) and limited lives. Games like Battletoads (seriously was it possible to beat that game??), contra 1-4, the Castlevania’s, and Maximum Carnage were some of the HARDEST games EVER!
The genisis version is so much different than the super nintendo one. The sounds are all different, and even the colour schemes for characters is different.
That seems to happen a lot when I see a game that's on both consoles. I remember Aero the Acrobat. The first level music had me almost dancing. Then I went to play it on my friend's Sega Genesis and the music couldn't be less impactful.

It wouldn't have been so bad if I was able to save the damn game at least. These kids today have it way too easy. Im gettin pissed just thinking about it.
I have beat this game about 10 times now, its so fun and gets easier, but I still can't do it with no damage, I can do it with losing a tiny bit on some parts but still abit, you are so good!
Be prepared level (I think I got that right, the one with all the lava) was a PAIIIN. Never once made it through on anything over easy, and even then that level kicked my ass. Now if someone could do THAT level with no dmg, I’d be impressed.
If I recall, in the movie, Simba needed time to recover from the loss of his dad, Mufasa, before he could reclaim his crown from his uncle, Scar. Nala just wanted to be certain, when she found him.
as much as I LOVE the genesis, the SNES sound chipset were much easier to use and more polyphonic. The genesis' one can achieve top level rock music but studio made mostly a poor job with the Yamaha YM2612
