Thanks brother! Wish I could've kept the 100% accuracy up through the rest of the hunt but got a little too excited with the amount of birds I had working!
Thanks Casey! I was wondering that too, I don't think the ducks would've been as drawn to my setup without it but might've had a better chance at decoying more geese
Awesome 3/3. That's just amazing sights and sounds Hey Thomas. What about doing a onx how to video. I struggle here in va to find public land that doesn't involve the river. And then some areas are a no go for hunting. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Shawn! I can try to do something like that during the offseason! This page is the ticket for finding public land in VA though - services.dwr.virginia.gov/FindWildlifeVA/#/map
@@HokeOutdoors no I was in the mountains deer hunting for our annual trip. Been scouting spots out the last few days checking out some beaver ponds we hunt checking on the water levels and seeing a few ducks. Hopefully they stick at another couple weeks or get a good push of some birds for the third split
This last season was my first time waterfowl hunting. I mainly hunted fields, and I had a blast doing it. Most of my friends who had decoys are going to college so it will mainly just be me and a couple other guys going out now. I have 5 dozen goose silos, I have two mojos. How many more goose silos should I buy, and should I buy duck silos?
Thomas , my friend I've been a fan of your hunts going on 3 years at least but I've never seen you as excited and enjoying yourself more than this hunt. It was funny because I thought listen to him , he's got buck fever. I tried to tell ya get a sip of water , calm down and breathe. You got that triple and I admit not knowing a Specklebelly from a merganser but you were wound up like you'd tripled on 12 pt bucks. Was that one or two million geese and ducks over you once. No you don't turn down a bull sprig anywhere. Awesome hunt buddy. I enjoyed watching you almost as much as you enjoyed just being there. Thank you for taking me back to my times so many times. Awesome shooting and it great to see a waterfowler that still gets excited over being under that many birds. You are the man. Be safe.
Thanks Sammy! There was just something special about the way this one lined up, between the lack of expectations going into it and the show that the birds put on. I appreciate you continuing to watch and the kind words as well! I hope I can continue to rekindle old memories of days in the field!
Thanks Kevin! I ended up walking in about 500 yards. There is a good bit of public out there, some of it is owned by the state/feds and some of it is WIA land which is private but open to hunters
Thanks Jay! I appreciate you watching! I completely agree about the solo hunts, I love the simplicity of them and the fact that it's just you and the birds
Great work and excellent job going 3 for 3 on the first group of specks! Always a nice confidence boost to start off batting 1.000.
Thanks brother! Wish I could've kept the 100% accuracy up through the rest of the hunt but got a little too excited with the amount of birds I had working!
That was an awesome experience seeing all them birds, heard your breathing pick up knew you were excited!!
Enjoyed hunting with you !!
Awesome content as usual. That’s some prime public land.
Thanks Will! Appreciate you watching!
Definitely a waterfowl performance.
They put on a show!!
Awesome hunt Thomas!! Love the triple!!
Thanks Rick! With as tasty as those specks are I just couldn't let any of them out!
What an awesome surprise hunt! Great work!
I appreciate it! Better to be lucky than good some days!
Crazy amount of birds !! 👍🦆
Like hunting the refuge haha. I love it. Great hunt! Wonder how it would have been without the spinner.
Thanks Casey! I was wondering that too, I don't think the ducks would've been as drawn to my setup without it but might've had a better chance at decoying more geese

Great hunt definitely lots of birds been a bad season here in northwest Ohio still ha e time just hope it happens
Thanks Bob! Hope it picks up over there soon, has there just been a lack of migration so far?
That looked fun as hell!
It was a treat! Could still hear the geese in my ears when I was driving home from the hunt!
Hey man!!! Good shooting !!! Let’s get together and find some birds!!
Wow! I’d love to see that in VA!
I would too! Seen some pretty crazy goose feeds in VA but never anything like this
Were you able to get out during the November split at all?

I would have gotten bird fever too! So many birds. What shot-cam is that?
It was hard to not get overwhelmed! I'm using a ShotKam, they're a little spendy but pretty slick
Woah that was crazy
Never thought an hour evening hunt would've turned out like that!
Great video
I appreciate it!
bu ortam çok güzel
good decoys where to buy such
hi ! Can you share your camera quality and fps settings?
Using a GoPro Hero 10, shooting 4K at 60FPS
🇪🇨🇪🇨👍
First one here
Hope you enjoyed it!

Safe to say they haven’t pushed yet lmao.
They were rolling south pretty quick actually! Most all the birds were gone the next day when I went back to hunt them
Great hunt, wow nice triple off the bat, you are awesome. How do you find the time and funding to hunt so much?
Hey Thomas great video as always. Question., how far did you have to drag your hide? And also is there a lot of public in S. Dakota to hunt?
Thanks Kevin! I ended up walking in about 500 yards. There is a good bit of public out there, some of it is owned by the state/feds and some of it is WIA land which is private but open to hunters
I'm from Russia, how to buy such decoys. We don't have any
I always loved my solo hunts, seems like i can get dialed in way better by myself. First video i watched of yours. I like.
Thanks Jay! I appreciate you watching! I completely agree about the solo hunts, I love the simplicity of them and the fact that it's just you and the birds
Nice shooting on that first group!!!! Excellent job!!! Enjoy your channel!!! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks brother! I appreciate you watching!
Public land?!
Yep! South Dakota has an excellent Walk-In Hunter Access program that opens up private lands to public hunting
@@HokeOutdoors wish we had more of that in Nebraska
Sweet shooting! What load do you shoot when expecting a mixed bag over decoys?
Thanks brother! Typically shooting 3 inch #2s when I think there might the opportunity for ducks and geese
Great evening. Quality commentary too. Humble hunter...
Much appreciated! It was an evening that I won't forget anytime soon!
Great hunt man that’s a BAG! What’s the duck call you’re running???
Thanks brother! I'm using a DRC Harlot, got a coupon code for it if you're interested in picking one up!
How do you upload your GoPro videos? The quality is awesome!!
I appreciate it! I just export the whole video in 4K so TH-cam renders it at a higher quality than it would if it was exported in 1080p
Can I ask if you upload from a computer or phone?
@@lincoln_limits always from a computer
You had an awesome hide
Amazing.
Thank you!
awesome hunt.
Овга гап булиши мумкин эмас зур
Holy shit
Nice 👍
"Still shooting time...still shooting time..." LOL meanwhile in my local gameland dudes are water swatting woodies on their walk IN at like 5am 😠
Right day and time. Perfect!
It was most definitely the migration in action! Headed back out there the next day and only the snow geese had hung around
What an incredible show
Thanks Owen! It was a special one!
Legit! Great hunt 👍🏼
Thanks brother!
Real nice hunt ! You did great !
I appreciate it!
What’s your filming set up?
I'm using two GoPro Hero 10s and a Canon XF400
Shooting by rules
Great ethics
Well done bro
👏👏👏👏👏👏
What shotgun do you run?
Franchi Affinity 3
Your dog is missing out.
Super cool hunt with a great 3 pack start.
Excelentes lances de cazerias amigos saludos
I’d love to see a hunt from Nolan’s POV
