I realize that the old arcade games were pretty difficult, after all they were money-eating machines. I prefer to make more playable versions in order to give fun even to the less experienced.
Hello, good morning, friend! you will see, I will tell you; I have a PC and on it I have Windows 10 installed and I have it up to date, that is, I have all the updates, my Windows is genuine, etc; well, I try to install your game "Bagman Comes back" and nothing, there is no way; I have activated the obsolete Windows library called DirectPlay, I have looked at what version I have of DirectX, and nothing, everything is correct; It represents that everything is installed well, but when I give two clicks to the Bagman icon, which represents that it is to run the game, nothing happens; that happens to me with EVERYONE and each one of your games, friend, and I don't know why it happens to me; I have also tried to run it as Administrator and nothing, the same thing happens; On the other hand, my son's PC installs it and it works great for him; what do you think it could be? I don't know if the same thing happens to more people, but I DO. You'll tell me something when you can since I'm not in a hurry, okay? but I really don't have ANY IDEA of what can happen to me. Thanks in advance and go ahead with your remakes, they are magnificent, seriously !!!!
This is the first time someone has reported me that one of my games is not working. In reality, the game is based on OpenGL and not DirectX. Make sure you have the latest version of OpenGL installed and that your video card supports it. Also, make sure that all the files and folders included in the downloaded zip file are present in the folder where the executable is located. Nothing else comes to mind at the moment.
Hello, good morning, friend! Well, nothing, I followed your appreciation of installing the OpenGL you indicated on my PC and ... nothing happens, that is, I install again your fabulous Bagman remake game and again the PC is "thinking" and not absolutely nothing happens; It is very curious that NOBODY else comments on what has happened to them, I suppose there are people who DO have it and don't comment on anything out of sheer laziness, but I don't care, I imagine that one day I will be able to do it; I would beg you if you had any more ideas about it, tell me, friend, since I can't think of anything else to do; I am waiting for an answer, and thank you very much in advance. Oh, and it's not that it happens to me with this game of yours, no, no, it happens to me with ANY game that I install of yours; Curiously, I have the MAME32 emulator installed and it works perfectly for me, and see that its installation is not exactly easy, eh? It is a very "special" program at the time of going to install it (the MAME32 I mean, eh?) Well, nothing, I said.
I can confirm that no one has ever reported to me that one of my games does not work. I personally have tried them on 3 different PCs and they work perfectly. It's really weird that it only happens to you. Even though my games are Windows specific, they even run on Linux via Lutris (see th-cam.com/video/td4U1K5xGkQ/w-d-xo.html). The only doubt I can think of about my games is that you use the term "install". The games do not require installation, you simply need to extract the files from the zip you downloaded.
@@lucacarminati2095 Hello, friend! First of all, I would like to thank you for the interest you have shown me after having informed you of my problem; In response to your post I will tell you that I know perfectly well that the game does NOT need installation but that just extracting it should already work, I know that perfectly; What's more, I'll tell you that I hadn't told you that my son also has a PC of his and, curiously, it works perfectly for him, and I follow the same procedure as him, and as I said, it doesn't work for me; Yesterday I saw that you had published a new video regarding "Using Lutris on Ubuntu to run Windows games (LC-Games, Bagman)" as soon as I can I will take a look and I will tell you to see how, but I already tell you that there is no way for now; Also tell you that, I don't know if you know it or not, but on TH-cam there is another person called "Crozza" who like you who back in 2013 also made a remake of this wonderful game and you know? With this game I do NOT have any kind of problem, that is, I can play perfectly and it works well for me; Another thing is that the game's mechanics and strategies are very poorly emulated (from my point of view, of course ...) and it was trying it once and saying "Ugh! I don't like it at all" is full of inconsistencies and errors; I leave you here the link in case you did not know it, this is: www.classic-retro-games.com/games/platform/bagman-558 ... you will tell me something when you can, friend, but now you I mean, this game DOES work perfectly for me, but unfortunately it is very poorly emulated and it is a pity since in terms of graphics it is very well done.
@@CarLosBcn68 Understanding why my games don't work on your pc is really complicated. We can do an experiment. I created 3 small tests (download them from www.dropbox.com/s/owvxr2474yikdqm/test_dx.zip?dl=0, www.dropbox.com/s/8r44trbqcqqhuzg/test_gl.zip?dl=0, www.dropbox.com/s/upgnyuh8gnsvo1i/test2_gl.zip?dl=0, if you are asked to create an account, simply close the window, then click on the Download button at the top right of the screen). Double click on the executable of each test. If they work, a simple window with a light blue background should appear. Let me know... Regarding Bagman of Crozza, I had only seen pictures. Now I have tried it and I agree with you, I do not consider it well programmed for a number of reasons.
@@lucacarminati2095 Hello, good morning, friend! first of all, say hello and then I will comment on the facts; I have done what you have told me and I have clicked on the first Dropbox link; I closed that front window that you told me would appear and then I went to click on "Download" at the top right; the first download and check was successful, that is, I am talking about the "Test_dx", okay? I give two clicks to what seems to be a kind of auto-executable (An icon that looks like a kind of fusion between a letter "M" and an orange letter "G") and as you have indicated, after a few seconds A blue window opens to me and there it stays; When I perform exactly the same operation with the other 2 Dropbox links, the same thing happens to me BUT ... when I give the orange auto-executable nothing happens, that is, that kind of blue circle appears next to the cursor (Indicative that is like " thinking ") and then nothing happens; In summary, let's say that it only works well for me as you have told me with the "Test_dx" file, that is, the other files, "Test_gl" and "Test2_gl" does NOT work well, that blue window that you are telling me does not appear. Summarizing it further for clarity, it ONLY works fine for me with the first Dropbox link ("Test_dx") Okay? Thank you very much, friend, and I hope that this helps you to know and / or know what the hell my PC has that does not let me play your game. I await your reply!
@@CarLosBcn68 Hi, now I'll explain how things are: to make my games I use MonoGame, a dedicated framework (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MonoGame if you are curious). MonoGame allows you to create projects (games) based on DirectX or OpenGL. "test_dx" is based on DirectX while "test_gl" is based on OpenGL ("test2_gl" is practically the same as "test_gl" with the addition of 2 files). Both tests are projects created by default by MonoGame in which I have not added a single line of code, this excludes any programming errors on my part. If "test_dx" works for you while "test_gl" doesn't, there are 2 possibilities: 1) The OpenGL installation on your pc is incomplete / outdated, or your video card does not support OpenGL. 2) For some reason, MonoGame is not compatible with the configuration of your pc. The only thing I can do is report your problem to the MonoGame community, hoping they have some useful advice to give. I will keep you updated.
YOU DID THIS?! Is amazing!
Glad you appreciate. 😁
Got it. The difficulty curve is much friendlier than the original. I'm liking it!

Thank you very much for your suggestion
You're welcome!
very cool but theres lines in the picture which is annoying. i wish there was none.
If you mean the scanline effect, just press F10 at any time to change the pixel effect (as stated in the intro page of the game)
