  • Chris Daze Ellis, born in 1962 in New York City, is a renowned artist known for transitioning from painting subway cars in the 1970s to successful studio work. His diverse solo exhibitions span cities globally, and he has engaged in numerous public art projects, including murals in Hong Kong and Germany. Daze's paintings are found in private collections of notable figures like Eric Clapton and Madonna, as well as in permanent collections at institutions such as The Whitney Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Chris Daze Ellis continues to live and work in New York City. We sat down with Daze to learn more about his life and his artistic journey.
