Nicely done video. Well presented. No garbage, down to Earth. Liked it, thank you. Learned a bit about Illustrator, too. Draftsight is an excellent AutoCAD clone and will do those technical drawings easier. Was free for private use but I'm not sure if it's still available. FWIW.
I built one of Mach 1's kits I bought at a launch directly from them, its quality materials and tough as nails, but I agree, definitely wouldn't recommend it for somebody that's a beginner.
Don't get bogged down by the particular graphics software I use. It is just a "drawing" program. There are lots of them out there. Mine it old, and probably not available. It is just used to draw squares and circles. The key is to draw it out full-scale so you know how things will fit. You can use a pencil and paper to accomplish the same thing.
@@lcdmonitor1981 If we could sell more, I might be able to afford an upgrade. But I probably wouldn't use the new features over those I'm using now. It is like giving a jet fighter to a person that barely knows how to ride a bicycle.
Apogee Components just a little something I noticed while I was watching... I use an ancient version of premiere because I refuse to go to creative cloud for a number of reasons
You're disappointed? Technically, you're right. But does anyone build anything anymore? I mean, I don't prepare dinner either, since I don't grow my own food.
Hello, I am making a 1/50 scale StarShip type rocket, where can I order such a rocket body made from fiberglass?
you'll probably need to custom make it yourself.

Could you have put the holes for the e-bay rails beside the eye bolt?
If you can get everything to fit without interference, it might be possible.

great video tim, what program did you use to draft your templates?
You can use a drawing program. I used illustrator
@@apogeerockets Hmm, I'm glad I know AutoCad. It seems so much easier. :)
what is the name of that program you are using?

Apogee Components why upgrade? The FA/18 is how old and still kicks butt

This is not build.
This is assembly a kit...
