No this shanks is the unit that this GV was designed around & there's no replacement for him if bandai drops a new shanks with the same captain effect then u can switch him

You need max level Merry with insane RNG to have the ship modification for this to work.

Yeah works perfectly fine
It does not work as you need the despair reduction from the merry. So you cannot use another ship I guess ?

Try and get him from a friend captain if u can't find 1 however u need to get a unit to reduce that paralysis instead of shanks support
