Rohit is the best possible captain for Nepal. He has been phenomenal since the time he was given captaincy... we all know the way he adapt his bowling strategy based on conditions and opposition. He is very tactical. If Rohit will be removed from captaincy, Nepal Cricket will suffer in such a way that it will be very difficult to retain ODI status as well... He is young and still learning. Its not about just result but also the character you put in. Never forget, In recent success of Nepalese cricket Rohit is one of the main reason.
Just see his approach in the field. He is aggressive in field, tactical move, good bowling rotation... what ever he does has a specific reason. He has sacrificed himself to be worthy enough to be captain and lead the team.
Everyone are saying sandeep need to replace him. But I don't think sandeep is ever a good captain. He is not made for handling pressure situations... being a bowler you have to bowl all 4 overs and if you are captain there is high chance of sliiping your rithym. We saw his captaincy in Wcl2 matches and even Kenya tour. We lost against a new cricketing nation who just restarted cricket just due to may unusual move in the field.
For example, Rohit sharma was considered very bad captain in test. But once team performed... same people say what a captain...

The one who understands cricket knows here is no issue with captaincy but issue with the batting line up!.... sandeep is never a tactical captain... he can't handle pressue.... There is no reason to make sandeep captain.... Yes Pat cummins got success as captain, its because the batting lineup was the best ever in the world...and pat cummins and sandeep are not same... look at the bowling rotation of pat in every matches he captain in ipl in international... you see a reason.... but sandeep captained enough and enough but still his unregular captaincy nearly costed us ODI status

Great analysis overall; the only place I will disagree with you guys is the t20worldcup; that should be catagorized as Neutral, not a failure (2014world cup was sort of a qualifer not really the worldcup game due to format; so it was virtually FIRST worldcup experience for Nepal). Can't say successful because they could not win even a single game, can't say unsuccessful because nepal was the only associate which had two competetive games (with BAN & NED), and dominated the game with SA (the win predictor up to 98.2% until the Shamshi debacle), and lost due to inexperience. Besides USA, arguably Nepal had the better peformance as an assocaite, and created the buzz/impression in world cricket. NEP vs SA match as the match of the tournament for some big names, and among top 5 matches of worldcup for many speaks for itself.
The results in 2 years of his captaincy, from a point where Nepal was about to collapse completely to this point, he has proved himself despite some failures. One thing you guys forgot is how he has maintained the unity in the team (see what happens in NO-UNITY, even for worldclass team like Pakistan fails); and there is literally noone in the squad who as a junior can command the respect from and unite seniors in the team. Nepal should not even think of changing him until 2027 ODI worldcup; that would be 4-5 years as captaincy will be right time to evaluate him.
