I love this song so much! I asked Simon about it on a livestream interview and he said this was untitled and they never did a recording of it. Just the backing track part was recorded that he and Robin played their guitar and bass over live.
Perfect version. There are some bootlegs with this song, but so muddy... Thanks!!! And thanks for a story... I know Elizabeth was angry when "Flowers" leaked but thank heavens it did leak.
@@JeffreyJDavis stereo board audio CAN be terrible. It often consists of mainly drums and vocal with no audience or ambience because the venue is creating the reverb so there's no need to put it in the PA. Some of these recordings do suffer from that a bit but on the 90/91 tours it seemed to come out pretty well.
One of those Twitter music threads I responded to yesterday was prompted by someone asking for the best songs with both male and female lead vocal. My answer, of course was All Flowers in Time Bend Towards the Sun (with a caveat about being aware Elizabeth Fraser was uncomfortable about its release).
I'm curious - Simon's book implies that the initial recording (of "All Flowers") was messed with by someone else unknown before it then ended up leaked online. Is that the case as far as you know?
When I listen to it on youtube I don't hear anything we didn't do that night but I must hunt for my tape to confirm it. There's only 2 guitars on it from a brief listen just now!
Remarkable, having listened to a few of these back to back now - having been put in this direction this morning - I'm lost for words. Thank you!!!!!!
Basically we are listening to the band's first live performances with the quality they deserve! 34 years later it is a true Christmas miracle. 🥺🥺🥺
THANK YOU SO MUCH. ❤❤

Thank you Santa! 🙏

I love "All Flowers Bend Toward The Sun!" How cool it is that you were the one that recorded it. I'm loving the advent calendar!
Lovely anecdote
I've turned into Rowley Birkin QC
I was at this show, thanks for the memories and the great board audio

Is this only audio or does video exist ?
No video. These tracks are all taken from cassettes
