One of my lasting regrets is that I'd never heard of Runrig until July 2011, but the best musical gift I was ever given was when I heard a cd of Donnie and Runrig in July 2011. Changed my life, it really did. I just love the sound of the band, the vibe they had in live performance [which I've only seen on the City of Lights cd but it was so powerful] but I love especially the beautiful lyrics, the fantastic musicianship of them all and Donnie's voice. This is a GREAT song, thanks for sharing.
Whoa you lucker :)) I'd gave everything if they reunite with Donnie :) I'm a huge Fan since 1993, and couldn't go on the Concert Tour in 1997 which was Donnies Farewell. So sadly I missed them. Only Runrig's Music gives you such strong Feelings, I get homesick and want to go to Alba :)). I'm only Swiss but all the Celts have to be proud of such superb Music :))
Never heard of Runrig until the other day and must say this song is already one of my all time favorites! These guys need to figure a way to tour the States sometime soon. I think they'd find plenty Americans who love this sound and have some Scottish heritage too (like me). Thanks for the video!
Hello, Preshy Pat, Thanks for sharing this with me! I don't think I have this one...I wonder if Chelsea has heard it. It's gorgeous, has all of the elements that make us adore Runrig so! Love ya more! xxx To CraigRich85: Thanks for the post! :D
I must agree that Donnie was something special. I think they lost some of the magic when he left. Bruce is good, but Donnie had something he hasn't got.
My grandpa is heard throughout this song with a church congregation singing salm 43 to Free Church. He died not long before this video was uploaded
i havn't heard this in years, i forgot just how good it is.
One of my favorite Runrig songs. Who am I kidding, all Runrig songs are my favorite songs.
xymox1961 my grandpa is singing at the beginning
donnie's voice is still superb to this day he still does it for me.
"Èist ri èigh do mhiann"
