The "Sun" application is the most popular Beauty Taping application. It is fast and easy to apply, with minimal tension. Before starting the placement of the strips, it is necessary to manually test the skin to predict the desired result. Narrow and short strips will be applied, a few centimeters around the contour of the face. Location and stretching will depend on the desired result.

Why do you apply the tape downward instead of upward?
I thought the same thing too.
Wouldn't that cause higher risk of wrinkles???
The reason for applying tape downwards rather than upwards is to ensure proper tension and lift. When you place the anchor (initial attachment) in a low-movement area, such as the temples, it should be applied without any stretch. By then stretching the tape slightly and applying it in a downward direction, you create an upward lift effect due to the static position of the anchor point. This technique maximizes the tape's effectiveness and stability.
I thought you'd place the tape at the centre of the face and pull towards the outer face to enhance the lift effect?

CAN I USE NORMAL TRANSPARENT TAPE?
I wouldn't, as our tapes are specifically created to be sensitive on the skin. Normal transparent tape has harsher glue and it could irritate your skin.
Wouldn't work with using face oil I guess
It does. I use a castor oil mix. But you need to let the oil soak in
I do a little bit of castor oil and it stays on during sleep at night

U have to take it off so slow and even then still leaves lines on me too
Did you use this brand tape? I've been using it for years and don't have an issue with marks (if any they dissipate within a few mins), it sounds like you had a reaction to the tape.
This is one of the most gentle, but it could still cause a reaction with your skin. Otherwise, you may be pulling it far too tight or removing it roughly, which may cause damage to the skin.
