Hi There - This particular pipe took 3 mins to cut. How labor-intensive of course will depend on the thickness of your metal. Hope this helps!

I have a 1" thick hollow aluminum shower rod I need to cut shorter. Will this method work for that as well? It's white; will this mess up the paint at the cut?
Hi There,We suggest you wrap the pipe with masking tape and cut through the tape to preserve the finish and use a sharp blade. Hope this helps!
