I understand the aging process for all of us, it's a reality. Why am I feeling so sad ? I guess it's hard to watch our loved ones in the animal kingdom age out so much faster, leaving us grieving. Never the less, I felt emotional .

When my dog had this my vet explained it as a stiffining of the muscles around the heart valves that can occur with age. The valves become stiffer and dont close as well causing some backflow into the heart which can cause lower oxygen levels in the blood and other complications It was treatable for dogs and I imagine treatable for Tau too?
Even though he's a great doctor and has to put him under, seeing this great beast looking vulnerable and helpless is always heart wrenching to me. Always scary to me. I even teared up a little. After all, this is the LION KING. The lion KING!!!
I would like to see some videos of the Lions when they were younger maybe as Cubs I think that would be exciting to see and to know that I know what they look like now they are so beautiful

All animals are capable of loving back, like trusting little children, yes, even the wild ones. Schools around the world need to see Kevin Richardson's videos so that patience and kindness and compassion can be learned at a very early age.
Kevin thought I'd share with you a bit of my story regarding heart murmur, had one all my life never told that I needed Prophylactic antibiotics before dental cleaning, (can release bacteria into the blood stream) for humans, had a cleaning 3 months later the bad valve allowed a bacterial growth to take hold on the valve a bit of that traveled to my brain and caused an aneurysm required brain surgery to fix which caused a stroke. Then had valve replaced, not comparing myself to Tau, I would feel horrible if I didn't share and something happened. So something to discuss with vet. best of health for Tau

Chetanya Singh Bhatti We have a boxer that we correctly named Lola the second she was born without realizing we had matched her name perfectly to her personality. She was the first born of six pups, and was the boss of the liter. Her 3 brothers and 2 sisters did everything she did leading them into being as Kevin says, so naughty. She is 7 years old now, still naughty, and Lola gets what Lola wants, LOL. We adore her and her bossy personality.
