    So something I've learned about learning languages, something I've learned about learning languages.. That's an interesting sentence.
    But I find that it's very easy to have misunderstandings, especially because sometimes how you phrase things in your native language is different from how people phrase things in their language.
    So I've found that when learining Korean, there's been times when I've said something to somebody or they've said something to me and I took it the worng way because when I translated it in my head, I did it incorrectly.
    And so instead of jumping to a conclusion and misunderstanding what they say, it's much better to kind of take a step back and be like, "Oh, is it in this person's personality to say something mean or is it maybe that I misunderstood what they said?"
    And so when it comes to situations like that, I think it's much better to just ask for clarification rather than kind of getting carried awya with this misunderstanding.

    8:06 모국어 = 자신의 언어. 같은건데.. 두개 말하는 방식이 서로 다르다니.. 도대체 뭔소리인지 모르겠어요..ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

      모국어라도 그 사람 성격에 따라서 말하는 뉘앙스가 다를수도 있다는 의미같네요. 비꼬는 말로 고맙다 고마워라고 말하면 진짜 고맙다고 하는게 아닌거 같은거요. 그러니 번역에만 의지하지 말고 확실하지 않으면 물어봐야 한다는 걸 깨달았다네요.
