Came here trying to find Tori Amos karaoke songs and bumped into your videos. You are amazing pianist! Thank you so much for putting up songs like Northern Lad and Black Dove here, which I've never even dreamed of getting to sing in karaoke. I just spent an hour singing these songs of your playing. Thank you ♥♥♥
Impressive! Anastasia has to be one of her most complex written compositions and you nailed it! Bravo! I also love that the music is more of what the piano is doing rather than her voice. I've always just wanted to hear more of what the piano is doing alone in instrumental covers. Thanks for sharing!
More than her voice and lyrics I always appreciated Tori Amos' piano skills and composition the most. The arrangements and orchestra on all of her albums up to Boys is bar none. I cut it off at Boys for Pele because that album featured the most regular band instrumentation (guitar, bass, drums) of her early work and the next album, Chiorgirl Hotel, featured no songs comprised exclusively of her vocals and piano. So I see Boys for Pele as the cutoff for early style Tori Amos.
this is one of my fave songs !!!! thank you so much for doing this, every cover that you have done is beautiful and like all of toris songs ,they manage to take me away .....far far away.
I've been listening to this song for more than twenty years and it's one of Tori's best. I do like the strings in the original but this instrumental was fun to listen. It was so good, I got a little teary-eyed toward the end...and I'm not a sensitive guy.
Can you please do yes Anastasia with strings. I love it with just the piano AND I loved your strings on Cloud on my Tongue. Fantastic work! Sounds just like Tori's articulation and choices.
splendid, you are so gifted. I am so Lucky to own my own old bosendorfer and I try to play the tori songs..........the instrumental covers are fabulous. All of them.....I admire you! thank you so much for sharing. The music of tori was a great help fighting my cancer, now it will be time to learn to play again........you are inspiring!!!
I am jealous of your playing...you brought me back to this freaking model Strauss of 1894 Bösendorfer, and as Tori says, it's your friend, you need to be connected, it has a soul and you talk to it but God wish I could play as you. If you ever get into the Netherlands, you are so welcome to enjoy this old lady and she is not bound to give up yet, she's made to be played and so I will........thanks to you and Tori. Wishing you a very happy New Year and hope to hear a lot of you. in 2015. Love, Bosey and Liz
Liz Boot different pianos have different affects on people. i have a personal love for the hamilton by baldwin :) it's very very warm and full sound. almost heart wrenching in a way, because of the emotion every note on it projects. it creates a sense of longing to be "immersed" in the sound of it in and out. you get the picture im sure :)
I really deply and truly wish that you would read my comment and redo this with the sheet music and lyrics like in Baker Baker so I can more accurately follow.. please make my christmas wish come true!!!!
Asking again since you seem ed to have missed it, can we please get this with the sheet music and lyrics on the lusic like Baker Baker and Pretty Good Year soi the lyrical timing can be followed better

Hey! Did you get this from the Yahoo group Figure it Out? I'm OneLnTheMorning and I'm Friggin thrilled to see this!
I have been a member of Figure it Out, but that was ages ago! All of the covers I play I've transcribed myself! :)
I know what you want the magpies have come
if you know me so well then tell me which hand I use
Make them go
make it go
Saw her there in a restaurant
Poppy don't go
I know your mother is a good one
but Poppy don't go
I'll take you home
show me the things I've been missin
show me the ways I forgot to be speaking
show me the ways to get back to the garden
show me the ways to get around the get around
show me the ways to button up buttons
that have forgotten they're buttons
well we can't have that
forgetting that
girls girls what have we done to ourselves
driving on the vine
over clothes lines
but officer I saw the sign
thought I'd been through this in 1919
counting the tears of ten thousand men
and gathered them all
but my feet are slipping
there's something we left on the windowsill
there's something we left yes
We'll see how brave you are
we'll see how fast you'll be running
we'll see how brave you are
yes, Anastasia
and all your dollies have friends
Thought she deserved no less than she'd give
well happy birthday
her blood's on my hands
it's kind of a shame cause I did like that dress
it's funny the things that you find in the rain
the things that you find
in the mall and in the date mines
in the knots still in her hair
on the bus I'm on my way down
all the girls seem to be there
Come along now little darlin'
come along now with me
come along now little darlin'
we'll see how brave you are
Either you get it or you are a liberal
