Yes I am only on book #2 for December… so tired! 😂. I really did love Starless Sea and it made sense when I was reading it… but afterward… not so much!!
Wow! That is quite a readathon! Congrats for finishing it! Also, Jeannette Walls has admitted to, um, "enhancing" some of the things in The Glass Castle, so some things that are really hard to believe are probably that way for a reason.

Wowza! That makes my heart race and my head hurts just hearing about it! Starless Sea is the only Morgenstern I’ve read and I literally looked at my friend when I finished and said “what did I just read? what even was the point?” It was not a 5🌟for me. Kind of Spark is a good one 🩵 I’ve been told to read glass castle so often because I was very poor growing up. But I’ve never read it because I don’t want the anguish😅
Ha yes it was chaos! So well planned but I was a mess… it burned me out so much that I had to pass on Reindeer Readathon! Yes “what did I just read” exactly for Starless Sea! But I loved it because pieces kept falling together randomly… With the stories and the books and the characters… it was making sense… but then it wasn’t!! 😂 Yeah I would probably skip Glass Castle if it would hit close to home. It was tough. There is a prequel to Kind of Spark coming out in April 💕

The Get a clue readathon sounds very similar to The Amazing Readathon where we were "racing across the world " Lots of fun but very hectic and too easy tofall behind! The Glass Castle is phenomenal and I'm glad you liked it. It's been years but I still remember her eating the butter (or margarine) because she was so hungry. Have you read Educated by Tara Westover? It's a similar memoir with terrible parents.

Just listening to this is giving me anxiety because I know I wouldn’t be able to keep up either. December has been so busy I haven’t had much time to read at all. It’s bothering me but it’s just impossible so I’m giving in and letting go and I’m ok with it. 😂 -Joe
