I didn’t even know this kit was an option at the time so I ended up going with it the MBRP catback exhaust which I love but I also don’t have any neighbors to annoy with the rumble 🤣 sounds great and looks great too, man! Well done!

Me too, I agree!! I have the DT headers and Y-pipe to install yet.. but I think w/ the carven it’s going to be way too loud. Maybe paired with this set up back to the stock muffler may be the move
Awesome mod man! I want to ask though, the black bulb where the wire attaches too that hangs down. Would that configuration work with a skid plate? I’m wondering how that would be when off-roading too.. regarding its vulnerability hanging lower like that. Thanks!
Great question and it's a concern of mine that I'll be keeping an eye on. I'm planning to do rock sliders and skid plates this fall so I'll probably revisit the exhaust valve when I do those videos. For now it's been out of the way and havent had issues on trails yet. I'm mostly in mud and water down here in Florida, so not as much rocky terrain.

Thank you! I’m very impressed with the sound. Great question, there are 3 angles it can sit at. The first is the one I chose, the second is a little close to the driveshaft for my comfort and the third is straight up and it hits the underside of the vehicle and doesn’t allow proper alignment. ☹️

I had a dump on mine right where this was and it sounded great. Then I ordered the MBRP exhaust for it and it sounds amazing. I highly recommend that exhaust over a straight pipe. If you want it louder than that, i recommend getting your post cats straight piped and you will love it!
It’s a great solution to have the straight pipe sound and the control to go back to the factory muffler. It’s actually not as easy as I thought. It’s a 2.5” kit, but the GX exhaust is 2.35” so if you can find a coupler for 2.5” to 2.35” it will fit perfect and you won’t need a shim.
That sounds nice. Do you already have the cold air intake installed? I have CAI and an exhaust resonator. I really like the sound of mine. Great sound.
Not to hi Jack this video, but I'm having issues getting my HVAC controls to adjust on my tesla screen like you have. Any suggestions? My wife and I both drive 04' GX470'S. I can't install one in hers until I get the hvac working.
Sorry, I didnt see this comment come through! You should check the little CAN control box that plugs into the back. That controls the HVAC so make sure that is plugged in properly.

I was a little bummed out by how quiet it was compared to my dump😂, but after a month it was perfect!
