I would clean the car First, avoiding going dirt anywhere, specially in the diff and bolts/screws. Besides that, great video, thank you !

The first thing that needs an upgrade is the reciever and radio. Once you do this the steering and throttle will be properly proportional. Otherwise it is crap. Very hard to get used to, and going from a good car to this takes a while to get mildly adjusted. I'm talking about rc racing on a track and not bashing

I have 124017. Your video was very helpful. I wanted to make the diff gears heavier.
5:51 i do get it , i do get it, they do it so down the line it fails and you need replacement parts, another hypothesis is that in the assembly line that particular step in the assembly line the worker needs more time to fully grease the diff , they are basically working them out like machines and they are built by hand so what did you expect from a 99 dlls rc car fully assembled by hand by maybe a worker that no longer wants to work there of course the car will come out with lower quality than lets say a $600 dlls traxxas , but i did set my expectations accordingly and im having a blast best rc i have ever bought of course setting the expectations accordingly.
How can you complain about Wltoys not using grease when you're opening your diffs with literal caked mud on them?

I'm not sure if you already explained it on the video, but could you explain why all of that lubricant is needed and why the way WLToys has done is not ok?
John, it is not only WLToys that does this, I ordered the upgraded differentials for my MJX Hyper Go 16207 and when I received them I noticed that they felt very "gritty" and very hard to turn by hand. I then opened them up and noticed that they had a very small amount of a very sticky substance in them (I will be insulting grease in general if I should call it "grease" what I found in them). The upgraded differentials of the MJX Hyper Go's are quite expensive so anyone will do well to check them, clean them and put a good quality grease in them.
Wowowo how did you just unscrew the screws without struggling mine are glued in in think I cant get them out
Can I just squirt greese into the diffs without taking the little gears out? Mines brand new and I will lose something 😂😂
Question John do you got to greased up the differentials all of them Wltoy's R/C car's and the truck before you start driving they that's crazy you got greased up the differentials.💯💯😎😎

Isn't this the old model? I don't think this is a 124007. Maybe the 124017?
the only difference between 124007 and 124017 is the body shell colours (the transmitter might also be different depending on the version)

weve just bought 2 x 124008 wl toys and they were both devoid of grease in the diffs, what was present on the gear drums ouside the diffs was more like vaseline and it was nowhere near the toothed surfaces, more like it was applied as an after thought to the drums and not the gears.
So sorry to hear this. Wltoys have been getting better, but obviously not good enough. 🙄
Lol…7:23 7:24 7:31 thats what happened to me with my wltoys 124017 v2 first the tires came off and i lost the lug nut which was a nylon lock thread . Would order one thing or the other waith for few says and then in 5 minutes of driving something else would go wrong. Spent over 450$ the car and parts . Should have bought a branded rc car.
