What a magnificent Buick. This is not just an Estate Wagon. This model was the most expensive station wagon offered as an RPO, an Estate Wagon Limited. It has 4 ventiports on the hood. The regular Estate Wagon trim was based on LeSabre. The interior of this is similar to that of the Electra 225. You certainly scored big on this one.
I absolutely love your car and she is mint!! Largest wagons ever made. The heaviest is actually the 74 Buick Estate wagon, 9 passenger!! My Next door neighbor (and our friends) had the same exact 73 for years. It was cream yellow with wood and all the trim and options that you have including the Buick sport rims but it had a brown vinyl roof that matched the woodgrain and interior. Nice!! The only thing is, they must have forgotten to order the cornering lamps. I remember because our fully loaded 76 Pontiac Grand Safari did have them. Ours was cream yellow with the wood also and the Pontiac Rally II rims. I took my test on that car in 1977 and drove it to college 35 minutes from my house every day for 4 years. Ours was garaged and kept mint for 30 years. Never should have sold it. Today I'm the proud owner of a maroon with wood.. beautiful 76 Caprice Estate. 3 seat power gate. Roof rack and nicely optioned but not completely loaded. My pride and joy so I know how you feel!!!! Only comes out in nice weather. Mine has a rebuilt motor with about 6 thousand miles on it and practical everything new or rebuilt under the hood. Ice cold air!! Still has the original air shocks. Your vid made me happy. Enjoy this awesome Beauti - Brother!!!!
@@kevinlynch1227 Thank you and thanks for sharing your memories and experiences. If you look at my channel, you will notice I own 4 other 76 Buicks. 2 Electra Limiteds, 1 Electra Limited Park Avenue and Finally a pristine all original 76 Estate Wagon. Cheers!
@@stangslayerws6 Ohhh!! and Oops!! I didn't realize you are the same guy!!! I'll look at your channel in more detail but sorry if my comment was somewhat repetitive to my comment of your 76 Estate wagon video.. I'm a retired early electrical contractor and I love all these cars but I only have the 76 caprice estate. Must be nice to have all the cars you do. Kind of like driving In heaven!! Lol. Enjoy them in good health Brother!!!
Congrats on your wagon, looks almost exactly like my mom’s ‘74 Estate, so many great memories. I am happy for you. Drive it like your mother would and always wear your seat belt. I remember the shoulder strap was useless. 😅
I had a maroon '73 Buick Estate Wagon many years ago when it was cheap to buy. Liked the styling front and back. The rear glass went up into the roof, and the tailgate dropped down and disappeared. It had a 455 cubic inch engine, and got 10 mpg. It rode like a boat. Wish I still had it !
I love the fact, when grown up adults buy the same car, as their parents had. Emotions, memories, etc. I love that. Do you have special memories with you, your mum and the car? I have 2 auto world Buick estate wagons, they are so cool.
My Dad had the 72 in Seamist Green w/wood paneling loaded and my Uncle had the 73 in White w/ wood paneling tape loaded. Can’t beat the styling!!! Love that blue.
Well, you picked the best Station Wagon there is. The best styled, best riding, most plush & luxurious, & the Awesome 455-4 torque monster engine with the turbo 400 trans. No better Station Wagon!!!
How did the car end up in Norway to begin with? Glad it finally made it’s way back home to the USA……..🇺🇸 My collection is all Ford, but my folks had a ‘73 Buick LeSabre that I absolutely LOVED as a kid! If I ever find a beautiful example for sale, there’s going to be a big old Buick in the middle of all my FoMoCo babies……..😂
@@ddellwo I was familiar with the car when it was originally in America because it was the featured centerfold car in the November 2007 Edition of "Collectible Automobile" Magazine. That is where the previous owner from Norway found the car. I already had that magazine as part of my literature portfolio because of my other 4 1976 Buicks. The owner in Norway was super shocked that I was familiar with his car. Fast forward another 9 months and she is safe and sound back in the states now
@@btinsley1 I have plans for a in depth review of the car including the interior. This was simply my first look of the car and I was out of daylight to show the interior with good lighting. Nonetheless, the interior looks just as pristine as the exterior
The ultimate wagon, beautiful!! That washer on demand is freaking rare, the nicest wagon I've ever seen!! Ever!
Please oh please don’t make us wait too long for the interior tour! That’s a magnificent wagon! 🥇
That's as big as an apartment, lol. I'm so happy you've found your unicorn.
Wow what an interesting find
It left the states went overseas to Norway and now it's back in the States 🤠👍🏻

Now *thats* a wagon! Bigger than my first apartment and the parking space that came with it😂
Absolutely gorgeous. Best of luck with her.
Absolutely beautiful! A family in my grade school had an identical one in the 70s and like you, it started my love of Buicks. Congratulations!
What a score! 👍
I love the big Buick wagons! 1976 is my favorite year but ‘73 had nice styling as well.

Awesome wagon
If Cadillac made a wagon. Very nice.
Beauty! I remember these as a kid and this is at the height of GM's station wagon design imo.
thanks. really beauty of a car
My Mother has the Oldsmobile version of this. We called it the Enterprise.
Very nice. Those wheels just top it off.😊

I am also in love with that wagon.
My girlfriend's Mom had a '75 when we were in high school, it was referred to as the Battle Wagon!
It's a beauty! Enjoy it.
Gorgeous
Congratulations on the beautiful Buick! I had a ‘73 Centurion convertible for early 20 years as my daily driver. Best of cars, these full-size Buicks.

Fantastic car! You forgot to mention the 455ci under the hood. The best V8 big block ever produced in Detroit!
it's a beauty.
Nice!
My mom had a yellow one with brown interior.
This is the President's Beast, civilian version!
Classy clamshell. What Country was it produced in?

How did they get the wood stickers on the cars on the assembly line?
I’ll bet it’s a smooth cruiser.
I definitely like the 1976 grill and front end, but this one seems to be a little sleeker to me.
