If you haven’t tried the Japanese Heroine Make mascara in brown, you need to. It’s literally like a milk chocolate brown. Asian beauty mascaras in general are where you’ll find what youre looking for.
This is the only mascara i've used for 15 years since I started wearing makeup.

I live in a country that doesn’t have Sephora so the idea of going to Sephora is always hyped, such as friends asking to get them things when I travel as we don’t have the same brands back home. I watch a lot of beauty TH-cam thinking one day I’ll buy X or I can’t wait to try Y brand.
I’m visiting a different country that I am going to move to this year that has Sephora and today I took my time browsing. I realised that even if I had regular access to these brands, I actually do not care enough about makeup to actually pay high end prices for most makeup, which means that I am actually wasting so much time watching makeup TH-cam content that actually has little relevance in my life (especially shorts!) I’m happy with drugstore basics. So today I’ve decided to deinfluence myself off from beauty TH-cam, with maybe three exceptions, one being you (I’ve followed you for years due to your cruelty-free content). I’ve always loved your chatty videos and deep dives that I have in the background when doing my makeup!
I do like makeup but I would be lying if I said I watched beauty youtube because I am trying to get information 😂 it's an escape for me, and if you feel that way too and it helps to calm you down and clear your mind then it will never be a waste of time!!
i also live someplace without a sephora. visited some when travelling in europe two years ago. i LOVED it and i would definitely spend more money there if i could 😂 but, most of the products aren’t necessary and we get lost in the hype.
When I discovered project pan content I think I fell in love with beauty TH-cam again, because it’s all about using what you already have, rather than the new new.
I can get to sephora stores and don't. The prices on much of what they carry besides their own brand is over the top.
I can't justify spending $$$ for some color on my eyes/ face especially. The one that really gets to me is Tom Ford...I'm like why?
For his prices, there should be silver or gold flake in them TF products lol
my country does have Sephora but because we’re so far away from the US the prices are at least $10 more than if they are in Sephora US stores. and that’s on top of the alrd exorbitant prices. high end makeup is fun to play with but definitely not worth $90
i was gonna buy the Rare Beauty blushes, then someone (maybe Kelly) suggested the essence blushes as a much cheaper dupe. i bought 2 of those and they are awesome-so now, dont need the Rare Beauty ones. :)

Totally agree about SDJ 68 - I thought it was just my body chemistry, but it was SO unpleasant once it dried down 😩 I returned it, and I also returned the rare beauty blush I got too - i have to say I’m shocked anyone can make those work, but it may have been the shade I got (hope) which had weird dark pink sparkles in it that just sat there on top of the skin. It looked absolutely bizarre.
In recent memory I regret getting the new huda beauty faux filler gloss (gross), the summer Fridays lip butter balms (overpriced for how effective it is at actually healing the lips), laniege cotton candy sleeping mask (tastes like perfume… ugh), and the nyx clicky pen lip balms which are sooo dry
In place of those NYX clicks pens, try the E.L.F. plumping version, $8 and you can get it in clear of a ton of colors. I have replaced so many beauty profucts(mid to high end price) with E.L.F and wet and wild products. Go figure! 20 years ago, both those companies were cheap in price and look.
Very mixed reviews on the RB blushes. Seem to be a blush topper and/or highlighter. Yeah, buy Milani baked blush or Essence pure nudes blush is what I keep hearing. 😮😮
Rare beauty reviews cannot be trusted because there are a lot of sycophants that just like the celebrity that owns the brand and will either lie/or convince themselves it’s the best product
The wet and wild blushlughters are the EXACT same thing as these RB ones, but it's about $5/has 2 shades per pan. Much better IMO.

we wear the same shade of foundation and i feel like you bought too light of a shade of the marios bronzer 😅 i got light and light-medium and they work amazing for me 🥰
The packaging on the make up by Mario reminds me of the Pur love selfie foundation that way it was called where there was both the foundation and the concealer, and it had like the same applicator or bottle rather

I knew straight away about these Rare Beauty Blushes, I didn't buy any of them. The Highlighter I love but the Blush just buy Milani Baked Blushes 🤷🏻♀️ they actually have pigment, they're glowy and much cheaper. £26 for this Rare Beauty Blush.. NO !! Love my Milani Blushes thank you

I love the rare beauty blushes! It layers really pretty for me on liquid blushes. Everyone is different and has different opinions!
I only use brown mascara because I’m blonde. Ik you prefer a milky shade, my preference is dark chocolate, and I loved the color of BTS, but the formula did nothing for my eyes either. I use milanis anti gravity in brown!

The Sol de Janeiro 68 cream scent lasts VERY well for a body cream, but aside from that aspect of it being so good, I don’t love the scent. I’ve layered it with a few other body sprays and perfumes that made me like it more but I’ll probably never buy a full size of anything in that scent.
BUT THE CHEIROSA 40 SCENT IS EVERYTHING!!!! IF THE SCENT LASTED LONGER IT WOULD BE GAME OVER.

I think the darker shades of the blushes are easier to look better and less highlighty. I haven’t tried that light one though, just from what I’ve seen
I love the Sol 68! Totally agree with you about the Yummy Skin Tint. I've tried it several times but it just doesn't sit well on my skin and is too glowy for my liking. Thanks, Kelly!
Try using a smaller amount of the yummy skin tint. I put a pretty thin layer then touch up with concealer and it works great.

I find the bare minerals blushlighters are a much more flattering version of the rare beauty new blushes. They are much more flattering.
Totally agree about the rare beauty blushes or anything rare beauty. I never bought them, I don't like the shine and the blush shades at all.
I bought into the hype and got a few products early on. The only thing I kept (kinda) was one of the liquid blushes that I mixed with a clear gloss because I got sick of how difficult it was to use. Everything is TOO MUCH (too glowy, too dewy, too pigmented). I think that'd be fine, but they market themselves for natural every day. Lololol. Some of the products I hear do that -- but only if you're dark skinned! So market it as that!
@@Itsstuff7328 Oh yes very good point! Some of the products definitely look cute. I'm sure they can look great if you mix other products but I just don't like the colors of all the blushes on my skin.
I agree..I think that shiny look for day isn't for everyone. The shiny, sparkly has it's issues. Like I'm not a glitter on the eyes person either. I think it's kinda scary, especially when it's chunky.
I had art glitter, same stuff, get in one of my eyes and cut my eye.
I can't imagine putting the packed glitters on the eyes that flake off. I honestly think seeing that in everyday, daily wear is abit much. Night time, going clubbing, I get that but not to go to the store in lol
On the rare beauty blushes, I just know It’s the perfect product for me because my favorite glowy blushes are always described as too glowy. I am always after a blush that’s basically a highlighter. It makes my skin look so good and makes it look like I have a lot more cheekbones than I actually do.
The YSL Lash Clash in brown is a true chocolate brown shade. Pricey? Yes! But worth it because of the color and formula.

After watching your video on all these products, I’m so glad I didn’t fall into the hype! I knew the RB blushes wouldn’t be the blush for me, I do like a glowy blush, just a more subtle one..I was so tempted to pick up the Mario liquid bronzer, but I literally just got the skin enhancing balm and I’m loving it…When I seen how sheer it was on your skin, I knew I wasn’t gonna like it either, and yes I think people will use it up faster than the one in the balm or a stick or cream bronzer..Thanks for such an awesome update Kelly, appreciated so much over here❤
I think the Rare Beauty blush looks great on you in the video. I use it and then very lightly go over it with my foundation sponge - true lit from within look.
Every time I hear someone talk bad about the Rare Beauty blushes it makes me think I own a completely different product 😂 Even for non-glowy blushes, I tend to apply them a lot higher on my face anyway, usually where you'd apply highlighter so maybe that's why they work for me. I only bring my blushes down to my cheeks slightly but these blushes are perfect for me. I don't find they emphasize texture at all, but the very opposite. They might my skin look so perfect, glowy, healthy, and smooth. They bring my whole look together. As soon as I tried shade cheer for the first time I ran out and bought two more shades 😭 My other blushes have been completely abandoned now, I even gave a bunch of them to my Mum cause I know I won't be using any besides the RB ones now. I really didn't think I'd be a fan as I really don't like any of RB's other products but the blushes are perfect for me! So sorry they don't work for you 😔
Girl you have to try Asian mascaras you are going to love them, heroin make has a really good brown one, I also recommend Clio and Judy doll mascaras

I think the RB blushes really tried to replicate the ‘Em cosmetics glow blushes which I love. I do agree the RB formula is much more texture emphasizing than the EM ones. But this type of product is def not for everyone.
I'm convinced that I'm the only person who loves the Rare Beauty blushes. Lol. I love mine and have to force myself not to wear them (I own two). HOWEVER. I am VERY fair-skinned AND I don't wear foundation or concealer or any kind of coverage product, so the blush is able to stick directly to my moisturized skin. I also still love a 2016 highlighter look and love the glow they give, so this is probably a me-thing, but if Rare Beauty came out with more shades of these, I would definitely buy more, lol. :P
I effing love putting shimmery whatever over my cheeks , always have. But I have blushes that have that have highligh qith them. Dynrssaa Myrick Beauty balm in pink is kinda orang a and glitter looking , it's pretty ugly. I just mentioned it cause she talking about the brand. I was disappointed
I wonder if one shade darker of the Mario bronzer would work better for you. I haven’t tried it myself. I think too faced better than sex mascara is only at the level it’s at now because of repurchasing. Once I branched out and tried other mascaras instead of going w the fan favorite I was like omg I can use a cheaper mascara and get a much better finish. I had 0 interest in the rare beauty blushes because I could tell it was just different colors of their highlighters. I think it should have been advertised as something for the top of the cheekbones. I do that with the sephora brand pink luminzer. I’m so surprised you didn’t like the yummy skin! I’m on my second bottle of it. I think with tik tok brands are focused on being innovative in different ways and not focusing on the product itself being as innovative. This is a great video idea! hope to see it again

never been so dang early let's gooo. also, try the about face shadow sticks! I think they're super underrated and they actually blend out. the shade actual ambrosia is one of my all time favorites.
Honestly about face is such an underrated brand that I think deserves more attention than some of these other celebrity makeup brands

I used to agree on the SDJ 68, but I started wearing it layered with Kayali vanilla and it is literally magic, I get complimented every time I wear it
I've been wanting to buy almost everything Danessa Myricks, glad I didn't buy the tint yet. I have a similar problem. I rarely find a foundation or have a good day with my foundation especially around my mouth. This was helpful to hear; it may not be me that's the problem but the foundation. I could never get a real explanation from anyone why I always have that problem, good to know. Thank you!
Try a darker shade of the Mario it blends so seamlessly but you need the next darker shade! It is a more natural bronzer but the easy blending makes it so good!!
Enjoyed the video and thank you for your views. The rare beauty blushes would be too slowly/high shine for me. However I do love the DM yummy skin tint which provides just enough coverage for my over 50 combination skin. I find it easy to apply with a brush and wears well never giving me a caky look at the end of a work day (including a +2Hhr commute in the train to and from work).
I didn’t care for the Sacheu lip stains either. I actually tried to remove it one time and part of my lip skin peeled off with the stain. I just returned it after that. It’s too hard to work with for me personally but for someone who’s been precise, patient, and careful, go for it.
I regret getting the glossier bronzer sail… I feel like it’s too light. Too subtle. And could have done without it 😢
I bought the Makeup by Mario in the shade light and I hate the tone. It isn’t bronze at all more grayish and looks weird on the skin. I didn’t swatch it before buying it. I thought I would love it because I have the Makeup by Mario skin enhancer in light so I thought it would be the same 😂. That was 36$ mistake! I have tried adding a dot into my foundation and it is quite pretty like that but still $36 is expensive for that task 😂

I think you're using way too much of the Yummy Skin. I think you should try using like 1/3 of the amount you put on in this video and blend with a brush, and you will like so much better!!
I agree about the Rare blushes, I was so excited to buy one, but once I saw them in person and tested them on my skin none of them looked good!! 😢 such a disappointment...

I bought the Hourglass new face powder because it said is for oily skin and provides mate finish all day. I have very oily skin and that powder didn’t do anything for me. I felt like I got even more oily through the day and it’s a super expensive product. 50+ dollars 😢

Don’t feel bad about the SDJ ‘68. I loved 40 as well, super delicious, then ordered ‘68 and gave it to my friend the same day. There is something about that base note that makes me not be able to breathe, it feels like.

The soft sculpt cream is pretty sheer as well. This never happens to me as I have fair skin. I think it’s the shade. Its supposed to be a natural looking product but the cream version is so much better xxx
Have you tried YSL or Thrive brown mascaras? Thrive has a beautiful brown in a volumizing formula and of course,tubing. These are the only mascaras I use now. I don’t even bother trying out the new stuff.
The 2 SDJs I wear are Rio Radiance and 62. My fav product is definitely the yellow deodorant!! It works so well and smells terrific
That makeup my mario liquid bronzer almost seems like it would be better as a mix in with sunscreen or foundation. So interesting especially compared to the new Saie. Which seems way more up my alley
My Sol de Janeiro 68 basically smells like rubbing alcohol to me. Genuinely was wondering if I just got a bad one but I'm also not a BKR or cloud lover anyway so idk
Oh my gosh! I bought the yummy skin tint too. I’m a flight attendant and usually the plane air is dehydrating. I thought it would be great! I straight up looked like the tin man! I was stuck having to wear it for 12 hours. I powdered and powdered. Could never get it to tone down. No thank you. 😅

I love the two RB blushes I have. The DM Yummy Skin Tint was a no go for me. I love skin tints, this one was the worst. I gave it away to a friend.
For the rare beauty blushes I love the shade “Joy” but I ended up returning “Cheer”. Idk why but it seems like the “cheer” was a lot more glittery and just not flattering on my face.
The Mario bronzer is too light you could go a shade or 2 darker

I am curious to see how you feel about the makeup by mario over time if you decide to keep using it. I felt the same way about the cream version in the pan (soft sculpt skin enhancer) and I got it several months after launch because they didnt have makeup by mario where I lived at the time and I had heard so much hype and was totally letdown by the product in reality in large part because of the sheerness- HOWEVER - I returned to it one day for some reason and then used it every single day since until there was none left, hadn't used up a product like that in ages.
Perhaps it will be different but as your criticisms seemed similar I have found that my expectations of some of his products close my mind to adapting to meeting the product where it's at instead of trying to make it do what I want it to do.
I love puting highlighteror shimmery colors onmmy cheeks but i still wouldht buy that stuff.😊
I’m younger and have two shades of the rare beauty blushes joy and cheer. I like them but like to put them over top of the rare beauty liquid blush. My friends also wear it and when I see it on them all I see is bright pink sparkle.

Isn’t the fair shade of the makeup by Mario serum a contour, not a bronzer? In which case I would expect it to be quite sheer and low impact

One thing I do do I don’t make impulse buys or influenced is make a wish list of stuff I want to try. Then after I finish a product I pick something off my wish list on that category to try. I love where my collection is now because I use everything and nothing goes to waste.
I was going to try the Denessa Myricks yummy skin tint when my current tinted moisturizer is gone. Then I was like why because I love my the one I am using so will probably just re buy it.
I thought I was the only one who didn't like the DM Yummy Skin. It didn't work for my skin either. It sat in all the places where I don't want it to.
I looove the new Rare blushes BUT mine broke and it literally hasn’t been anywhere other than my makeup vanity… so for that reason I will not repurchase and I don’t know how much more use I’ll be able to get out of it 😭 I’m so upset because I think it’s beautiful!
Oooh also the Danessa Myricks skin tint looks good on me for maybe 4-5 hours and then just goes completely downhill after that so would also not repurchase since I have other complexion products that last 12-18 hours

The Rare beauty is 👍🏼 for me I have 2 of them so far The associate in Sephora said they can't keep them on the shelf..... It took me 3 times going to the store for them they were sold out
I really love the rare beauty blushes.. but my cheeks don't have much texture. I just feel really pretty in Cheer. But I get it not working for everyone
