    I do like dark, subtle koi - the gin rin added to just enough contrast to the subtle colours......I'd buy one !

    • @TheKoiPartner
      @TheKoiPartner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! But the strange things is they are black till the age of three and they get lighter after they are older

    I would love to see a video explaining the differences between shiro utsuri and black diamond!

    Curious what Hunter picked first, what he found wrong, and was black one his replacement? Hope I got his name right. I didn't go back to check. Sorry. ☺️ I just checked. It's Hunter not Tyler! Lol!

    • @TheKoiPartner
      @TheKoiPartner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kim, good question. The fish Hunter picked out had some issues with her spine that wasn’t straight. Sometimes that happen and you only see that after really really good inspection. Out of respect for the breeder I didn’t put the footage in the video of that fish

    many dark ochiba like that in Indonesia since years ago ...those varieties some time are not qualified in the 2-3 culling period...we pick the bright ochiba

    • @TheKoiPartner
      @TheKoiPartner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indonesian koi, so not Japanese Koi 🤭 This is not Ochiba or a darker Ochiba.

      @@TheKoiPartner It sounds you have bad experience with Indonesian Koi...whats wrong bro...

    • @TheKoiPartner
      @TheKoiPartner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kuwayamove nothing wrong with Indonesian Koi. But I support the Japanse koi bred and raised in Japan. I support the Japanese breeders, it’s their legacy and koi bred in other counties I respect but don’t promote that often.
      Beside, these days many people from Indonesia make fake accounts and scam people on Facebook. I have also seen Koi being cut in the letters of the alphabet in Indonesia. These things concerns me a lot and is a danger to our industry.
      Nothing personal and yes I like real hobbyists and dealers in Indonesia who share the same passion as we do. 🫶

    I see the buyers go according to ping pong balls
    How do you find out the price of the fish?
    Is it one fixed price for each fish in the pond?
    Or, buyer pick a fish and negotiate price with seller?

    • @TheKoiPartner
      @TheKoiPartner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question: breeder decides later what the price is 😊
