Toei made 17 metal heroes shows and they are Uchuu Keiji Gavan, Sharivan, Shaider, Kyojuu Tokusou Juspion, Jikuu Senshi Spielban, Choujinki Metalder, Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya, Kidou Keiji Jiban, Tokkei Winspector, Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain, Tokusou Exceedraft, Tokusou Robo Janperson, Blue SWAT, Juukou B-Fighter, B-Fighter Kabuto and there was also two lighthearted metal hero shows that are not considered cannon to the metal hero continuity and they are B-Robo Kabutack and Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack this franchise ran from 1982-1999 now you may be questioning yourself why did Toei stop making these shows? Well, that’s because they brought Kamen rider back in 2000 with Kamen rider Kuuga well the ratings of metal heroes plunging into obscurity and and Toei realize that they didn’t need metal heroes anymore because they brought Kamen rider back to television screen and unlike Kamen rider and super sentai the metal heroes isn’t really that popular the only reason why metal heroes was made was to take Kamen rider place during it’s hiatus so despite that, though the metal heroes would make concert cameos, and other appearances in super sentai crossover movies and episodes with them well Toei would try to resurrect the franchise back with the space sheriff next generation movies they didn’t takeoff that well and metal heroes would still be available to watch on home media and online especially the blu rays releases from Discotek Media which can go pick up right now if you want they have release three metal hero shows on Blu-ray which are Gavan, Sharivan and Juspion
