It's disgusting. I work in the UK on Bollywood films when they shoot here as a costume stylist. Luckily as UK crew I always have the protection of a UK line producer who looks after us. We are ALWAYS pre- warned about the conduct of male Bollywood crew - and the atmosphere is just sickening and uncomfortable from male crew members right up to the big stars who I have worked with directly and experienced it first hand. I deliberately stand next to a UK crew member or female during a shot to.make sure when cut is called I don't get approached. But still there are always sleazy eyes on you. NO woman should EVER feel like that at work.

I reported it at work at the time and it was dealt with- at the end of the day as sickening and immoral as it was - no crime was committed- and I've no knowledge of any criminal allegations or complaints against him so I won't name here. The people who needed to know knew and action that needed to be taken was taken. I am not attempting to belittle any behaviour like this but I also know not to blow anything out of proportion - what this girl is describing from Sajid is harassment, abuse and grossly crosses a line... what I experienced was verbal innuendo - to me it was unacceptable and unprofessional - but again no crime was committed. I'm just observing that it is an inherent culture - and these men think it's ok to cross a line when left alone with a woman - the mindset needs to desperately change.
