Hello everyone, welcome to Baldur's Gate 3! As the polls foretold, the Dark Urge has finally arrived in Honor Mode to bring forth the radiance of Lathander's Light and uncover the mysteries behind his aptly named dark urge. If you'd like to skip right in to the tutorial, Durge's pod opens at 13:53; if you'd like to skip the tutorial, Solaire opens his eyes in foreign land at 39:26; if you'd like to see just how far I've come, Shadowheart begins the series' shenaniganry at 1:13:57 and Gale practices Grease-y restraint at 1:26:46. It's going to take more than tricks and traps to conquer Honor Mode, but I think Solaire is off to a good start. I'm sure the Dark Urge won't cause any problems, right? Thanks for watching!
Has to be tough for you to fight the Dark Urge. "Must .... not ...... be .... evil" I don't see killing that Mindflayer as an evil act. You are cleansing this world of a foul being.
1:07:00 Gale is perfect on warding bond duty, if you respec him into cleric or wizard/cleric of MYstra multiclass to be more lore specific, he can keep bond infinitely, because he heals himself when he is in camp as NPCs do that, because of his affliction, they prevent him from dying ;)
LMAO, does he have to stay in the party to be a perma warding bond? I had a really funny Abjuration scheme for Gale but I think it's a late game thing. I also am kind of struggling with room for everything that I want. XD
@@scanix100 What I meant was can I bring him in to the party to cast Warding Bond and then ask him to remain in camp and bring in another character while retaining Warding Bond? Or does he have to remain in that fourth slot for Warding Bond to stay applied?
2 tips for honour mode: 1 - get the Shapeshifters boon ring from the strange ox, you can use a mage hand to smack it while the rest of your group is far way from it. After it destroys the mage hand, come back and talk to it with who ever cast the mage hand you can trade for the ring. It's really helpful for dialogue checks, especially ones that get you out of fights in Act 2. Since you're playing a Cleric you don't have very high persuasion so it's a great nice to have. 2 - After doing the first part of the myconid quest in the underdark don't turn in the quest (don't go back and talk to Spaw) until you're ready to go to the creche. The extra 1d6 you get from the bliss spores is super helpful in passing the checks in the zaithisk and with any fights over there you might get into. Good luck!
Hey Fable if I'm being honest I recommend 2 things for Solaire. First get another level of Fighter for action surge (one of the best abilities in game) and second the best cleric subclass for a martial character is war domain (you can still serve Lathander). I know the way you tell the story is important and I love that in your videos, but you will need all the help you can get in honour mode.
Thanks for the tips! War Cleric is exceptionally powerful, but my plan for Solaire does not really involve smacking things. My current combat approach is just holding me over for the earliest stage of the game, which is why I don't particularly plan on going for Action Surge. I'll definitely give it some consideration though. 😊
35:00 I had such terrible rolls when killing him the first time, Lae'zel and Shadowhearth both got perma-killed by the cambions. Got the sword though.....so win-win, really!
Oof, that 8 charisma is gonna hurt. Too bad you are not playing the CHA class again, the best experience imo. Edit: Holy shit, starting with a level dip is... certainly a choice, maybe get fighter to 2 later for Action surge? This is going to be fun.
There were two CHA characters on the poll because I kind of wanted to do a CHA run, but I'm hoping the Bard + Thaumaturgy/Guidance shenanigans will kind of carry it? I'm also debating on using potion tricks to have Strength, dump Strength, and then have 12 CHA. It feels like a waste but it could be funny. XD I was going to go straight 12 Cleric, but 1 Fighter actually gives quite a lot that I plan to utilize, although it would have been more relevant later.
@@Fableheim I mean, the Hill giant potions are up the ass for easy 21 STR, auntie sells 3 each long rest, so it almost feels intended to use them. The problem lies more with not having proficiencies in speech checks, raw +1 from 12 CHA won't really change much. You *could* go with thaumaturgy-guidance-inspiration, but it won't be enough for the funnest checks, so that's why I'm a bit sad. Also, some of the class/race tags, such as the Fighter tag on 01:09:10, allows to auto-succeed without the need to roll at all, so that could be utilized. Edit: Also some things, 1:15:40 Shadowheart has a low chance to succeed with sacred flame. That's because SF is a DEX saving throw and not an attack roll, so it doesn't matter if you had advantage or not.
It swung so hard WITH Karmic Dice enabled. I'm debating turning them for true RNG to take the stage but I'm a little worried about what it'll do to the run. XD

I definitely have to resist my very own Dark Urge for this series and will be excising judgment with prejudice on most Abominations. {:
1:14:50 that laugh...that beautiful evil laugh...oh how I have missed it. Welcome back to BG3, looking forward to this!
It's good to be back! 😊

@@Fableheim No, he has to be in camp to work, so he is in NPC mode and heals whenever it is needed, it is OP, you won't lose warding bond ever ;)

Lets get ready to Baldar deep in to Fables craziness. Ready to see how this goes.
Queue the madness! Happy to have you along for this journey as well.
Idk you but i like the way you play and interact and react with what the game gives you. Subbed and looking forward to more!
Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the channel! (:
This is my 1st time watching you,You have a very calm voice.
I first watched one of his Age of Wonders 4 video over a year ago. Got hooked and have binged loads of his content. And became a channel member. 😂
Thanks for the kind words, welcome to the channel! (:

To the glorious beginning and radiant end! Praise the Sun!

I need to make a Praise the Sun emote.

Like the tutorial while you're playing. I haven't played the game yet, so it's good to get some tips beforehand.
I did a lot of research for this playthrough so I'm more than happy to share what I know! 😊
A start to masochism. I wish you luck👍
Thank you! (:
rolls a 1 into a 20 looks like the pendulum is on your end this time
