DimWit - I'm glad you noticed that the board hit the water. That takes a tremendous amount of energy, (plus, the guy probably weighed 250...) Anyway, it's quite amazing. We had a 1 meter board where I used to dive, and with the balance bar all the way back, nobody coould make it touch the water...

Point those toes, keep the feet together, watch hand and arm placement, clean entry into the water, all look fairly easy but they're not ALL that easy! There are degrees of difficulty. Some of the dives above are very, very good, look for no (or very little) splash on the entry!
@Lv2learneverything that is a back dive pike position, i suppose the good ones would call it an easier one but i cant imagine doing it off of the three meter board, they did it absolutely perfectly too so very very difficult to do it like they did

What is the name of the dive at 2:10? Two guys in blue suits start facing away from the water, jump up touch their toes and enter the water facing the other way. What's the name of that dive and is it a harder or easier dive?
The Manchester venue is such a shame now. the boards are old and the fulcrums busted, the platforms are slippy and narrow and the 1m has guards rails 80% the length of the board. About as safe as trampoline in a submarine!
@Lv2learneverything hahahaha. arguing about diving, *facepalm*. Its a back dive pike. pretty basic dive, but can be hard to master the form on 3 meter so yes it can be fairly difficult from the higher height you do it from.

(im a diver so i understand these things)
what i dont understand is how they dont get water up their nose.... i dont even have to jump to get water up my nose ... someone please tell me how that works for them

@Chris15611 no.. 3 meter gives you more time so its a lot easier to over rotate... the longer you are in the air the more you rotate

Back dive pike is easy but it takes a long time to prefect i got 6s on it at olympic trials in the syncro event

Its called a back dive in the pike position , it's degree of difficulty is 2.7 I believe. It is an easy dive in a difficult position.

There are several here, from a simple jack-knife to twists pikes, somersaults etc. Depends on what one you're referring to in the video.
